Is there a clear relationship between reading, family, and religion? Most people might not see it immediately. However, there is actually a definite relationship between these three aspects of life. During the Sabbath I have seen them read about how important it was for God to give Abraham a son, which illustrates the importance of family (King). Reading such stories during worship supports family values.

Passion for reading about religion reinforces family values by providing a means for people to stop and take notice of different causes, too. Recently, some…

Religion in the Modern World Religion Modern World Religion is something that is as old as man. It means "almost everything because religions deal with the whole of human life -- and death" (Bowker 2006). Since the beginning of mankind, individuals have searched themselves and others, contemplated the universe and all its elements, and religions are what were formed through these personal and public explorations. But what exactly are religions? What does

Some of America's oldest cities had been newly infused with evangelical faith, and most primitive frontier areas were filled with tent revivals. From a more liberal perspective, Unitarianism had taken root in New England universities. ("Toqueville and Religion," (http://xroads.virginia.edu/~HYPER/DETOC/religion/intro.html) This strain of American religious thought stressed the connections between self and nature, even to the entire exclusion of a religious doctrine, dogma, and community, almost to the breaking point.
