There are a number of sociological theories that relate to euthanasia. Three of the most strongly related theories are (1) socialization, which focuses on lifelong learning potential and bonds with others, (2) structure and agency, which focuses on what society requires of people versus how they make their own choices, and (3) critical theory, which aims to critique and change both culture and society, instead of just documenting it.
