Some individuals take over the world by weapons and conquers. Posterity then comes to know them as righteous rulers, courageous warriors and wise kings. Most of these individuals are regularly descendents of noble, quite often royal families, thus they enact the destiny they were born to fulfill, such as Alexander III of Macedon or Alexander the Great as he is most commonly referred to. But taking a good look at history, we might find ourselves discovering another series of individuals who have molded the times they lived in as well as posterity, not by actions of war, but through their revolutions of word, theories and philosophies. My thoughts take me to Confucius, a Chinese revolutionist of human values.

The documentary film Food, Inc. paints a sobering picture of the relationship between human beings and animals in the modern agricultural system. Animals are treated like disposable commodities and subjected to harsh, cruel environments. They suffer in confinement and are raised upon unnatural diets and are even bred to be suited to consumer demand for features such as large chicken breasts.

Abstract This paper seeks to unveil the major or primary causes in relation to climate change. This is through evaluation of natural and artificial events/activities with massive implication on climate thus changes in the climatic conditions within the modern society. The research article focuses on the elaboration of factors such as water vapour, deforestation, levels of carbon dioxide, industrialization, farming, application of fertilizers/pesticides/herbicides, and migration/mining as main contributors to the changes in the climatic conditions. According to the study, it is essential to note that human activities are the main causes of climate change in the modern society.

The Progressive Era was a time of reform in the United States. It was Richard Hofstadter who came up with his famous thesis on how to best explain the phenomenon of the progressiveness that was infiltrating the country. He believed that families in political power were afraid of losing their influence as the economy was shifting from an agricultural one to an industrial one. However, opponents of his thought believed that the American people were lost during this time and it was in fact their confusion that led to the strong influence that the Progressive movement had on the United States.
