What is Analysis?

Analysis is one of the most fundamental skills across the social sciences, required in fields ranging from business management and marketing to law, political science, and public policy. Courses in these disciplines ask students to move beyond description and instead evaluate evidence, identify patterns, and draw reasoned conclusions. What makes analysis academically compelling is its versatility: the same core skill — breaking a subject into components to understand how they function together — applies whether the object of study is a corporate strategy, a legal case, a policy framework, or a philosophical concept like piety as discussed in Euthyphro.

The papers archived here reflect a wide range of analytical approaches. Many take a case-study format, examining specific organizations or situations such as Guillermo Furniture Store or JM Smucker's strategic choices to draw broader conclusions about business decision-making. Others are comparative, placing two law cases or decision-making processes side by side to highlight key differences and similarities. Additional papers focus on applied analysis in areas like demand forecasting, knowledge management systems, and marketing, using data and process-oriented frameworks to evaluate real-world outcomes.

A strong analytical essay begins with a focused, arguable thesis that makes a clear claim rather than simply summarizing information. Evidence drawn from data, documented cases, or established frameworks carries the most weight and should be interpreted, not just cited. The most common pitfall is confusing summary with analysis — describing what happened rather than explaining why it matters or what it reveals. Keeping the argument tightly scoped and consistently returning to the central claim throughout the paper will produce a more persuasive and academically credible result.

Dada art movement: origins, ideas, and key artists
The phenomenon Dada is notoriously difficult to describe; some critics hesitate even to use the term "movement." Focusing on Dadaists' reflections about the phenomenon itself, we will try to delineate a general image of the Dada in the context of the European avant-gardes of the 20-th century. We will also try to analyze the historical and political context inside which the dada phenomenon occurred. Our main focus will be on two main tenets of Dadaism: the "self-critical" feature of Dada's self-image as it emerges during the main phases of its history, especially during its early phase, and the political commitment of Dada during its last phases of development.

Shakespeare's Richard II
An analysis of Shakespeare's play RIchard II and The Trew Law of Free Monarchies shows there are several different ways that kingship structures subjectivity. It is due to this fact that Richard II makes a model subject when he is overthrown. A close read of these two texts indicates that Richard was subjected to the loss of the divine right of kingship, and to nothing else.

Cloud Database Service on User
The pervasive nature of cloud computing is re-ordering the economics of enterprise software, leading to widespread integration and adoption of database services. Moving from capital expense-driven (CAPEX) based spending to operating expense (OPEX) funding models, cloud computing platforms are accelerating in adoption throughout all levels of businesses today. In large-scale enterprises, cloud computing is being increasingly relied on as the infrastructure layer of global computing platforms. Examples of this include two-tier Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) strategies that scale across Asia, Europe and North America. In addition, cloud-based database services are being used today for unifying the diverse Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms across diverse business models and cultural boundaries. The same holds true for the integration of Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems on a global scale as well. The reliance on cloud database services is one of seeking to integrate systems of record and the many diverse workflows into a single, unified strategy. Databases used to create the single system of record across enterprise that also rely on ERP, CRM and SCM systems require a standard level or quality of service in order to complete basic and advanced business strategies.. These three application areas, ERP, CRM and SCM, are the most prevalently used throughout enterprises. They are also the three most critical application areas that are driving the global adoption of cloud database services as well. The question this research proposal looks to address is how effective cloud database services are in defining user intentions of adoption and overall satisfaction with these technologies within a business context.

Humans Have Wondered About Certain
Kant described a clear difference between phenomena (objects as interpreted by human understanding) and noumena (objects as things-in-themselves, those in which humans cannot directly experience). Modern phenomenology was dissatisfied with this limited approach to all things knowable, and attempts to create the conditions for the objective study of topics that are typically found to be subjective – judgments, emotions, perceptions. It focuses on a scientific method, but is not clinical or biological; but rather it seeks to use a more systematic reflection of ideas to determine a more structured approach to experience
