This paper addresses the portrayal of families in television in the 1950s and 1960s. The question addressed is why these families were portrayed that way and what the reasons behind these portrayals actually were. Whether families were actually how they were portrayed on television is something to consider carefully, as it is possible that families are still be misunderstood and portrayed incorrectly today.

In this paper, the issue is using mobile technology (specifically text messaging) to promote health care. Patients were asked to complete a survey and then provide a mobile phone number so they could get text messages about health related issues that are important to them. The paper was designed to show whether this would be a valid way for health care providers to help their patients.

Long term care is something that is going to be needed by a lot of people in the future. The population is aging, and because of that facilities are running out of room and running out of funds. As the baby boomers continue to age, there will be a large influx into nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The more prepared these facilities are, the better.
