Discovering the answer to "What do Managers Do?" was deceptively difficult. In the process of interviewing the four subjects for this assignment, I found more questions being raised about the nature of managerial duties.

The objective of this study is to examine scholarship, practice and leadership in the global business and academic environment in terms of various communication strategies, leadership theory and practice, critical and creative thinking and financial measures of value added. This work will further examine 21st Century issues in organizational behavior and fundamental principles of sound research as well as strategic opportunities in an internet-based global economy. This work additionally examine marketing and management of the customer relationship ethical leadership and the legal environment, optimization of operations, management of risk, collaborative case study, 21st century issues in organizational behavior, and contemporary issues in leadership. Finally, this work will examine transformation of the business. The success of an organization arises from various factors including material, financial and technological resources, and human capital all of which together assist the corporation in achieving its stated mission.

The paper addresses the role of the church in the elimination of poverty. The paper suggests that the church's role is dynamic and serves more than one function. The paper also provides an historical overview of the church's policies and actions toward social problems, such as poverty and economic injustice. The paper proposes that the role is not special, yet important nonetheless.

Technology support departments are renowned for being difficult to manage well given how many competing demand are on their timer and how often they become balkanized and focused on individual agendas. These are the factors that lead many companies to continually reorganized their technical support teams and never quite get it right. this paper provides guidance from the four aspects of transformational leadership in conjunction with the need for infusing as very high sense of autonomy, mastery and purpose as well.

The paper examines three leadership styles; level 5, transactional and transformational. The styles are assessed in the context of a case study, with three leaders each having one of the three leadership styles. The characteristics of each style are assessed. Following the examination of the styles the potential impacts of a transactional or transformational leader taking over a firm are discussed. The paper is based on a case provided by the student.
