Philosophy of Education
Higher education is the foundation for growth within our global economy. Students, who properly utilized the system to its fullest extent, garner life altering skills and abilities. These skills, which are often transferable from industry to industry further, enhance the quality of life for society. Many of the world's brightest students help create, lead, and establish many of the world's dominant organizations. These organizations, in turn, create goods and services that provide a compelling value proposition for the consumer. Without the aid of higher education, and the subsequent benefits derived from participation, many of these individuals would not have made the significant contributions to society that they have. It is therefore logical to continue to preserve the higher education system so that the next generation of students can further enhance the quality of life for society. Opportunities abound, particularly within the millennial generation, predicated on the ubiquitous nature of information sharing (Veblen, 1918). The ability to gather, analyze and disseminate information has never been as robust as it stands today. Higher education has a very bright and prosperous future ahead (Ewell, 1999). Therefore people believe the subsidization of higher education is warranted. I believe that ultimately, the individual student should finance their own ventures.
Both of These Center on the Authors Experiences During the Spanish Civil War
The famous Spanish Civil War fought from the year 1936 to 1939. This war was fought between two groups; the Republicans and the Nationalists. The Republicans were the supporters of the established Spanish republic; meanwhile the latter were a group of rebels who were led by General Francisco Franco. Franco emerged victorious in this war and ruled Spain for the next 36 years as a dictator.
After a group of generals (led by Jose Sanjurjo) of the Spanish Republican Armed Forces declared opposition against the government of the Second Spanish Republic, the war ensued. At that time the President of Spain was Manuel Azana. This group of rebels had gained support from a couple of conservative groups that included the Spanish Confederation of the Autonomous Right, Fascist Falange and Carlists (Payne, 1973).

Theodore Roosevelt: life, presidency, and legacy
With the assassination of President McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, not quite 43, became the youngest President in the Nation's history. He brought new excitement and power to the Presidency, as he vigorously led Congress and the American public toward progressive reforms and a strong foreign policy.
He took the view that the President as a "steward of the people" should take whatever action necessary for the public good unless expressly forbidden by law or the Constitution." I did not usurp power," he wrote, "but I did greatly broaden the use of executive power."
Complex organization structures and dynamics
In the modern day era, the role and practice of management have changed dramatically to increase in importance. Today's managers are visionaries and leaders, as they have to envision the future of the company, and also to devise the strategies to ensure that the company is able to attain its objectives.
The modern day managers then serve multiple tasks, from the division of strategic courses of actions, to resource allocation, foreseeing and adapting to market trends, and also to the motivation of the staff members to support the company. And the modern day companies are no longer simply focused on attaining their profitability objectives, but they have to ensure these through the satisfaction of the needs and wants of various stakeholder categories. The customers, for instance, become more demanding; the public places more pressure on environmental and social responsibility; the employees become essential; the competition intensifies and so on.
