Introduction Workplace training is vitally important for any company – whether the company has mostly native-born experienced workers or a culturally diverse workforce including recent immigrants. But when it comes to training needs for culturally diverse employees there are strategies that should be applied and fine-tuned, and this paper addresses those strategies and tactics. Thesis: Old training models – used by HR departments and in business colleges – that are linear and simplistic should be considered outdated and irrelevant. The up-to-date training strategies do not stereotype cultures based on national cultural generalizations, but rather they approach cultural training based on individuals and their values and their ability to adjust to values in the new work environment.

People are influenced by leaders. Leaders cannot affect people without understanding why people behave the way they do. Successful and effective leaders are, therefore, learners of human behavior. Good leader not only try to understand the personalities and psychology of their subordinates but they also consistently evaluate and assess themselves in order to be productive (Clawson 2001). Till date, no studies have produced a clear profile of an ideal leader; his authoritative styles, distinctive characteristics or personality traits. This makes it crystal clear that authentic leaders know who they are. They don't imitate or become replicas of others. On the other hand, they "demonstrate a passion for their purpose, practice their values consistently, and lead with their hearts as well as their heads" (George, Sims, McLean & Mayer 2007).

Both the thought focused treatment systems and the psychoanalytical approach are remedies for psychological dysfunction. This paper has a section where the differences between the two are analyzed, with the way they are applied in the treatment of dysfunctional related issues. The paper also discusses the REBT therapists approach, including the irrational beliefs used by the therapists. As case studies have shown, authentic leadership is predicated on the ability to create, sustain and strengthen trust and commitment to shared objectives over time. The essential attributes and characteristics of effective authentic leaders can be found in their ability to lead, not necessarily just manage or direct activities. A truly authentic leader will have the ability to bridge cultural, psychological and physical distances (in the case of virtual teams) while still keeping his team entirely engaged and committed (Purvanova, Bono, 343). This is why Tim Cook is one of the most authentic, transformational leaders operating a business today. As CEO of Apple, he has had to quickly keep the company focused on its vision, while its architect of visions, passed on. While arguably there is momentum in the business and its highly successful business model, transformational leadership is essential for keeping Apple focused on its most pressing opportunities while reducing its many potential risks. All of this is extremely difficult for any leader to do even if they are initially promoted into a position, yet to take the helm from a visionary, as Tim Cook has from Steve Jobs, the inevitable comparisons and pressure are exceptionally strong. This is another factor in choosing Tim Cook and Apple has having the greatest level of authentic leadership. The intent of this analysis is to evaluate how Apple has been able to continually gain market share and profits under Tim Cook.

Global Warming – It Is Authentic, But Why So Many Skeptics? Introduction The phrases "global warming" and "climate change" have become household words over the past twenty years or so, and given the vast amount of discussion and research, and the clear signs that the planet is hearing up, an alert citizen can safety predict that this topic will become even more prominent in American society. What are the latest results from scientific studies? How are businesses responding to the challenges that are present today and certainly are on the horizon for the coming years? How are poor people faring – or how will they fare – as the climate heats up, the seas rise, and powerful weather systems create devastation in many parts of the globe? And why are so many people, in particular conservatives, in denial about the fact that the climate is heating up? What are the arguments from those that dispute the science of global warming? This paper presents scholarly research articles that delve into these issues and a number of other aspects of the global climate change phenomenon.

This paper addresses the Tufts-NEMC medical center in Massachusetts and how Ellen Zane was tapped to become CEO. She was able to turn the hospital around and keep it from closing, but it took a great deal of work and a number of years in order to address all the issues. Promotion of collaboration between disciplines is a worldwide proposition for technology to advance healthcare providers interaction in their duties. Educating of more baccalaureate nurses, improving on the educational provision and using technology for the integration of healthcare would be an added advantage for elevating healthcare to greater levels. This would improve the use of evident based information as nurses interact with physicians. Country coalitions are a means of promoting the achievement of the IOM report, through the implementation of state based coalition plans.
