Planning for Behavioral Emergencies on a Non-Psychiatric Unit

Abstract Email is an important form of communication in today's organization that is increasingly seeing a geographical dispersal of the workforce. To communication tool has replaced traditional business letters and memos in preference for email memos. The research carried out a review of literature on email and business communication and found the tool is used in 100% of businesses today. However, despite the wide acceptance, the tool lacks in social and visual cues which lender the messages toneless. The lack of tone and physical gestures leads to misinterpretation, ill will, disconnectedness, loss of intellectual capital and integrity for the business. The research finds that the informal history of emails, heterogeneity among users, technological limitations in social-emotions, and lack of business communication standards as the cause of the limitations

The concept and effects of imperialism is evident in Africa especially after the colonial masters from the western countries had left. This study identifies the social, political and economic effects of reserved imperialism. It is evident that the coming of the colonialists significantly altered the Congo's political system with a total disregard of the ones that existed. This left many communities fighting against each other and their natural resources depleted. All these were advanced by reserved imperialism.

The health care organisations of today are no longer only requested to provide quality medical services, but they have to ensure this medical act within a growingly complex and demanding context. For instance, the ageing of the baby boomers puts additional strains on the health care institutions as the demand and the level of pretensions increases.

The following section focuses on using several models in answering the questions addressed by the Christensen article. The Ethical Decision Making Guide section is intended to discuss the ethical guide that I find useful in my situation. The Ethical Guide Application section provides some examples of different situations where this ethical guide was successfully applied. The Key Concepts section discusses some of the concepts that I became aware of during this course. The Conclusions section presents some of the most important issues addressed by the paper.

It is common for people to travel far and wide for employment opportunities. It is a difficult task not just for the workers but their families as well. The living conditions, health sanitation and many other difficulties often cause these individuals to regret their choice and quit the job. The paper highlights the expatriate issues and the significant and life altering role that HR can play in this respect. Introduction It is very important to understand what exactly an Expatriate Employee is before matters like: problems faced by them and the reasons for their high turnover rates are delved into. In simple terms the word ‘expatriate' refers to any person working in a country other than his or her native or birth country. This individual could be employed by one of their native ‘Multi-national Corporations' and then selected to represent them abroad, in which case they can also be referred to as ‘Parent- Country National'(US Legal, 2012). All expatriates are required to abide by the laws of their own and foreign country, such as Income Tax laws.

This article presents a preparedness plan for an organization to help in handling emergencies of fire incidents in the workplace. While the article includes all aspects of the preparedness model, it examines the threats and vulnerabilities in the workplace and available materials for handling fire emergencies. The other sections discusses the necessary steps for handling these emergencies including planning or preparing to prevent and respond to the emergencies and mitigating their impacts.
