The Total Reward Model: A New Paradigm in Employee Motivation in Technical Fields

This paper is about a case study assessment on Bancolombia. Bancolombia Group was successfully led by the outgoing CEO Jorge Londorio until his retirement in January 2011. Required by the terms of governance to get retired on reaching the age of superannuation, Londorio as well as the rest of the organization was anxious as to what direction will the company head towards under the leadership of incoming CEO Carlos Raul Yepes having a background cement industry. Although Londorio led the group into two biggest mergers of Colombia, mergers of Banco Colombia, Corfinsura, and Conavi and an unprecedented market share and reach for the group, the financial statements of the company, at the time of Londorio's retirement did not pose healthy signs.

International growth strategies bring a number of challenges for business organizations. They not only have to analyze the business environment in the new markets, but also formulate effective international marketing strategies which enable them to compete in a competitive and profitable way (Cadle, Paul, & Turner, 2010). International expansion may become a disaster if an organization tries to penetrate the market without a careful analysis of the external environment as well as of its own internal strengths and competencies (Frederic, Agnes, & John, 2011). A company can either choose to export its products in the new markets or setup its manufacturing units keeping in view the feasibility of its business in those markets.

The objective of this report is to provide a proposal to reduce the IT operational costs. National Health Service (NHS) is a biggest healthcare service provider in the UK, and the organization delivers both primary and secondary healthcare since its formation. The UK government major objective for forming NHS is to provide the affordable and quality healthcare delivery for all social class in the UK. To achieve its objective, the government has implemented the IT project to improve the service delivered by the organization. Despite the implementation of the IT project to deliver the quality healthcare delivery for the UK population, there is an operational issues within the IT department. The external service providers are still delivering the IT services, which has been translated into the high operations costs.

This paper address the EEOC, the many laws and regulations designed to protect certain groups who have long been a target of discrimination. Specifically, this paper discusses GINA, Affirmative Action, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978 and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Provided are examples of how these laws affect the groups they are aimed at protecting.
