Japanese-American Biopharmaceutical Industry in the 21st Century

A recent series of investigative reports in the New York Times discussed the dangers that radiation from diagnostic imaging procedures pose to the American public. The events that brought this issue into the mainstream consciousness were radiation overexposures at respected hospitals; however, the ongoing debate ignored the more complex issues that science has yet to fully address. These include setting exposure limits by age and body size and improving the safety designs of imaging equipment. This essay examines the more complex issues not covered in the press.

A simplistic view of Justice states that society as a whole creates laws for the benefit of individuals within that society. But in a pluralistic society the differing groups may be affected differently by the same law. Therefore, justice is often not a universal concept among everyone within a society. Laws, and the concept of justice, can be viewed very differently by different people within the same society. How they view justice depends upon their individual circumstances as well as their position within that society.

This article critique is intended to examine if the given research paper, "Factors influencing treatment delay for patients with acute myocardial infarction" by Lisa Lesneski serves its purpose and helps in determining the factors which are responsible for causing delay in treating AMI given its fatal nature. The thorough analysis enabled us to determine that where the statistical tools used for computation were suitable for such type of study, there were serious limitations which affected the suitability of the sample selected. Due to these limitations, the outcomes of the research could not be levied on the whole population i.e. patients of AMI. Furthermore, implied hypotheses, wrong sample selection, inefficient sample settings, and confusing criteria of selection of the subjects, made the research unable to provide empirical evidence.

The case touches on Alzheimer-type degeneration. Alice mother, Martha, suffers from this clinical condition. She is not capable of taking care of her self and relies on her daughter for virtually everything.
