Universal healthcare systems and implementation
The act became so controversial that lawsuits were filed in several US states including Ohio, District of Columbia, Michigan and Florida (Howell, Williamson & Wyatt, n.d.). Attorneys of these states argued that some provisions of the act violated the Commerce Clause of the US Constitution thereby making it mandatory for individuals to purchase health insurance.
Medical science concepts and applications
This proposal describes an experiment using lab rats and mice to evaluate the toxicity of several presumed carcinogens on liver and kidney function. The nine chemicals, diethylhexyl phthalate, cinnamyl anthranilate, chlorendic acid, 1,4-dichlorobenzene, monuron, ethylene thiourea, diethyl thiourea, trimethyl thiourea, and d-limonene), have been shown to induce acute or subacute biochemical and tissue changes that can serve as useful predictors of nongenotoxic rodent carcinogenesis. Topic area, methods and significance to knowledge are also addressed.
