The Navy has a stated mission to maintain, train and equip combat-ready Naval forces capable of winning wars, deterring aggression, and maintaining freedom of the seas. This mission requires the active involvement, participation, and support of the troops that make up the Navy. I understand that as a service member, I have a role to play in the Navy's ability to achieve its mission. I understand the importance of my personal contribution to Navy efforts to meet its goals and the necessity of complying with military regulations governing acceptable behavior. I am taking this opportunity to discuss the need to follow orders, maintain good order and discipline and promote the success of Navy objectives.

Disrespect of any sort is not permitted within the United States army. Disrespect encourages insubordination, and the service the army provides to the society is too valuable to tolerate both of these practices. The changing demographics of the population within the armed services attests to the fact that disrespect will not be condoned, at any level.

As President Obama stated in his addresses to Congress in February 2009, the most important problem that the country faced was the economy, which was in the worst recession since the 1930s. This affected both domestic and foreign policy, since the country would probably have to reduce military spending and its commitments overseas as it did during the Great Depression, so for the Obama administration economic recovery was the primary goal. He did promise that "the weight of this crisis will not determine the destiny of this nation" (Obama Address, 2009, p. 1). He promised that the government would deal with unemployment, lack of affordable housing and health care, a failing education system, energy self-sufficiency, revival of the auto industry, an unfair tax system, and weak regulation of the financial system, so that the recession would not be endless. In

Within any military operation, there needs to be a balance of logistics that combines personnel, equipment, and strategy to optimally deploy forces and therefore accomplish mission procedures. Prominent military commanders note that the operational environment has so drastically changed that joint, interagency and multinational operations are now the norm rather than the exception. This provides the format for new organizational structures and mobility/distribution platforms that engender more robust opportunities for deploying, employing, and sustaining operational capabilities to a higher degree. In fact, "tactical, operational, and strategic lines have long been blurred in the sustainment arena, and now joint and service planners can contemplate.

This essay provides a review of the relevant literature concerning Royal Dutch Shell, including its organizational and historic background as it relates to the company's operation, the extent of its globalisation, and its reputation for ethics and corporate social responsibility. An analysis concerning the different perspectives of the stakeholders involved in the situation is followed by a discussion about the need to construct an understanding of the oil spill event that may be productive for all stakeholders. Finally, an examination of ways in which Royal Dutch Shell's stakeholders can have a personal impact on the situation is followed by a summary of the research and important findings in the conclusion.

During the interwar period a number people advocated major changes in military doctrine and organizations, particularly in the use of airpower. Three important airpower advocates were Giulio Douhet, Hugh Trenchard, and Billy Mitchell, who all insisted that the air arm should be independent of the army and navy. Trenchard in fact was the commander of the first independent air force in the world, the Royal Air Force (RAF), while the United States Air Force (USAF) did not become fully independent of the Army until 1947. Both Douhet and Mitchell were sufficiently outspoken in their support of airpower that they made enemies among traditionalist generals, and both faced court-martials for their views. In the low-budget years of the 1920s and 1930s, Trenchard also had to battle the army and navy for scarce resources and to protect the survival of the independent air arm from the rival services. He was also a convinced supporter of Douhet's main theory that massed strategic bombing of the enemy's industry, cities and transportation could win a war and spare armies from the mass slaughter in the trenches that had occurred during World War I

Capital punishment is one of the comprehensive, but debatable punishments given to criminal offenders in the US and many other nations across the globe. Capital punishment involves the issuance of the death penalty because of committing serious crimes like crime in the society. Many people support this form of punishment while others view it as unfair, unconstitutional, and sheer breakage of human right to life. There are numerous evidences, which have been mounted to prove that this form punishment does not work: it should be eradicated in the US and the world as a whole as evidenced in this study.

The study examines how the al-Assad family, members of a religious minority, came to power in Syria, and what that has meant for the Syrian people. To this end, this study examines how the Alawi sect came to power in Syria from a historiographic and religious studies perspective, and what the implications of the Arab Spring uprisings might be for the ruling elite in Syria. A summary of the research and important findings are presented in the study's conclusion.

National security has been a major concern for United States in past few decades. However, since 2001, this concern has turn into a serious threat for national security. The given research is performed with the intent of evaluating the effectiveness of Department of Homeland Security in terms of intelligence sharing on terrorism. For this purpose, the study is performed following a predictive form of research. This research methodology is best suited for the researches where the source of data is secondary. For the purpose of this research, the articles from peer reviewed journals and intelligence reports on Department of Homeland Security will be used.
