Cisco.com for example has an entirely separate mini-site dedicated only to corporate social responsibility (CSR). PetsMart is deficient in this area as well; they could work to create a more interactive online experience for people visiting their site. There are no links to ask for donations for non-profit organizations; this would be a major improvement in the site design. Finally on business ethics, PetsMart has gone to the extent of complying with what the majority of their shareholders require; yet they do not tie together their mission, social responsibility and business ethics all into a cohesive platform for communicating how they are concerned just as much about these areas as they are about selling pet supplies.

Toulmin-Based Argument in Support of Pet Adoptions From Shelters
More people who want pets should adopt them from shelters because many unwanted animals are being destroyed each year in favor of purebred species obtained from other sources which provide their operators with a profit. The worth of the lives of these otherwise-doomed animals, though, far outweighs the individual pet-owning preferences of owners and no animal should be destroyed in favor of one that is bred for sale. Certainly, as discussed further below, this does not mean that individual pet-owners do not have a right to choose what type of animal they want for their families, but it does mean that more emphasis needs to be placed on pet adoptions from shelters to save as many animals from destruction as possible. In fact, some American communities have gone so far as to adopt a "no kill" policy in their pet shelters that…...

Fundraising for PALS 4 Paws
Financing for Non-profit Organization
PALS 4 paws is a non-profit organization interested in safeguarding pets in the U.S.A. To protect them from abuse, neglect, abandonment, and euthanasia. The goal of PALS 4 Paws is to decrease the number of animals that are going into animal shelters and increase the number of local adoptions to ensure better lives for pets. As a non-profit, PALS 4 paws will manage the rescue of pets that fall victim to issues of mistreat, tragedy or other forms of animal suffering. One the other hand, it will provide pet lovers with low cost pets by facilitating the adoption process through owner-to-adopter communication. This paper discusses the fundraising aspect of Pals 4 Paws as well as details of the organization's financial policies.

Grooming not only helps in zeroing in on external parasites and skin wounds, and does not allow fur to fall on furnishings, it also helps in spending a good quality time establishing a quality time with the feline friend. In case of shorthaired cats, one can use a metal comb which is fine-toothed on a weekly basis and a rubber brush or natural bristle to eliminate the traces of dead hairs. ("Grooming Cats," n. d.) ii) Price:
It is important to note that quality and price are the two most vital needs of a balanced marketing mix and hence either one in the absence of the other is most definitely to fail. At the time of fixing the pricing structure it has to be ensured that one squares off his overhead, including a profit and compare with other companies offering a same dog grooming service. In order to do this,…...

unwanted pets and possible solutions. There is one references used.
When someone mentions pets, you think of cute puppies with wet noses and fluffy little kittens playing with balls of yarn. You don't think of the number animals roaming the streets, searching for their next meal or animals turned into humane societies when their owners tire of them. However, this is a growing problem in the United States and one that needs to be addressed.
Of the 27 million cats and dogs that are born each year, between 10 and 12 million will be put to sleep. It's not because they're unhealthy or have bad habits, it's mainly because homes can't be found for them due to overpopulation. It's shocking to think that around one million animals will be killed this month alone (http://www.idausa.org/campaigns/unwanted/unwanted.html).

There are several causes for the numbers of unwanted pets. There are irresponsible owners who let their pets…...

They can take care of themselves. I've also been told they're good companions. But I wonder. A lot of the cats I've seen have either been so independent that they don't care if a human is around, or they are so scared they won't even let you near them. I don't know if this is normal, but it's my experience. I knew a cat that would hide over the refrigerator every time I came into my friend's house. I knew another cat that treated me as if I didn't exist. I don't think that's the kind of pet I want. I want a pet that is interactive all the time, not just when its mood feels like it. Cats require all the same shots, collars, and food that dogs need, as well as litter boxes. They aren't cheaper than dogs, even if they are supposedly cleaner and more self…...
As a representative I take responsibility for the deaths of these animals and would like to cooperate with those harmed to help them feel like justice was done. Unlike the three options in the instructions, I would not say I only had $100,000 to divide up among the families but I would not reveal my bottom line, because that is an appropriate tactic. I would also do my homework and research how much money has been awarded to other individuals in similar cases.
Question TO: To assure that the negotiation was conducted fairly, I would employ all five of the standards: reciprocity (I'd want to be treated fairly); universality (I would want to be a role model for others); publicity (I would want my good faith bargaining strategy to be publicized); trusted friend (telling a close friend I was ethical would be easy); and the legacy standard (yes I would…...

Shopping online has many benefits and advantages as compared to going to an actual store. One of the biggest advantages is that you can see many different products in much less time (Prussakov & Kaushik 2008). However, with the benefit of so many online stores comes some apprehension. There are literally tens of thousands of online shopping sites -- with more being added every single day (Lynn 2006). ith the benefit of so many choices comes a bit of an overload of information. Yet despite this overload of information, one only has to know how to navigate their online shopping experience in order to make the best of their shopping adventure.
Shopping online is an incredible way to shop because you can find pretty much anything you would ever want -- or anything you would ever need (or not need). A trip to the local mall to find something very specific…...

Ob/ob mouse and Fa/Fa rat (what are they, who discovered them, when they were discovered, how was it discovered
The Ob/ob mouse (i.e. obese mouse model) was first discovered in the Jackson laboratory in Bar Harbor, ME and is popular for studying Type 2 diabetes, food intake, and obesity. A recessive mutation on a certain chromosome in the mouse results in premature termination of leptin and therefore a deficiency of leptin in the mouse.
These ob/ob mice are hypherhagic and already obese at 2 weeks old. They also show other signs indicative of diabetes such as marked hyperglycemia, mildly impaired glucose tolerance, severe hyperinsulinemia, and impaired fertility and wound healing. They are also resistant to insulin. With all the signs of diabetes, the mice become severely and fatally diabetic with pancreatic collapse resulting in death.
The Zucker fa / fa (fatty) rat was discovered in 1961 and is a popular model for studying…...

Tweeet Pie: the 'twecipe' book of 140-character recipes
Social Media Marketing has now become one essential ingredient of every business on fire, planning to serve community in most delicious way possible. Seemingly every big or small business can multiply its repute and sales drastically by employing social media techniques. Like the one brilliant step taken by UK cooker brand Belling, eager to reposition its name by grabbing attention of folks socializing on Twitter who love to cook and share their fun and interest with others worldwide.
The campaign was not just all about bringing in recipes of mouth watering treats in a short recipe book bearing the name of 'tweet pie', but its outstanding aspect was to limit the length of every recipe to 140 characters. This was the most engaging feature for twitter fans and audiences (Cooking up the twecipe book, 2011)

Visual Rhetoric
Bandit
Rhetoric is the use of language to persuade others, and visual rhetoric therefore represents the use of images to perform the same function. e are constantly exposed to visual rhetoric when we read magazines, watch TV, or travel down a city street, in the form advertisements for products and services. These ads are created by corporations, non-profits, and the government, and their purpose is to provide information and/or persuade you, the audience, to pay attention and possibly become interested in their products or services. The non-profit called "The Shelter Pet Project" represents a collaborative effort between the U.S. Humane Society, Maddie's Fund, and the Ad Council in order to promote pet adoption from shelters as the first choice for prospective pet owners ("Campaign fact sheet"). The most visible product of this collaboration is the production of attractive and well-designed ads that present an argument for a mutually-beneficial relationship between…...

Lewis, have had the opportunity to look over the letter you prepared for Ms. Smith regarding her safety concerns about our product. The letter is very professional and I commend you on your efforts. I only see one or two areas that I believe can be reworded for a more effective delivery and as we go through my evaluation we will address those areas.
A like the fact that you immediately draw the name of the EPA into the discussion. It assures the customer immediately that we are not speaking out of our own opinion, or desire to protect the company, but from studies conducted by a respected federal agency. I further commend you on comparing the ratings to common household goods that the customer can relate to in a tangible fashion. Often times just presenting numbers or percentages provides a too abstract picture for the customer. You showed her with…...
Interestingly, doggie day care has become so common in some areas, that it has become "socially unacceptable" for people to leave their dogs home alone all day ("Pet Statistics"). This is true in large urban centers such as New York City and Los Angeles, which has led to a proliferation of doggie day care centers in these areas. As more pet owners become involved in every aspect of their pets' lives, it seems clear that services such as doggie day care will continue to grow and thrive. However, just about any business concerning pets seems to be on the rise today, and getting involved in the pet industry seems to be a good investment for an entrepreneur in the future, because the industry is still growing, rather than leveling out. Many other business opportunities exist.

A synthesis essay is a type of essay that uses a variety of different sources to support a central claim. The central claim must be well-supported within the synthesis essay, even if it is not the most likely claim or generally assumed to be true outside of the essay. Writing a synthesis essay has two main parts: synthesizing sources and supporting your main claim.
It is possible to write a synthesis essay about a hypothetical claim, but it will be more difficult to find the literature to support your claim. That is because you will not....
Growth matters because models of growth show how something increases in a particular setting. Anything with the capability of increasing can exhibit growth. Linear growth is growth that is constant. It grows the same amount for each unit of time. Exponential growth refers to growth that increases exponentially over a set period of time.
Exponential growth rapidly overtakes linear growth in terms of how quickly something increases. It can result in huge increases in the original number of items over a very short period of time. For example, people in animal rescue advocate spaying or neutering pets because....
