This paper is about the Modern Era of Race and Ethnicity in American Baseball.The racial and ethnic diversity of the American baseball has reduced largely in the past few years. This is not exactly what Jackie Robinson dreamed for the American baseball. There are several reasons for the reduction in the ethnic diversity and one of the main reasons is the change in immigration status of US. There has been a great influence of the Hispanics and Latinos on the American baseball, because of a greater influx of Hispanics and Latinos in the US since the last 20 years. Still, changes are needed in the American baseball in order to raise the racial and ethnic diversity to make the game stronger.

In this paper, I have described the state of race and ethnicity in baseball (particularly referring to America) in detail. Starting from the history of ethnicity and racism in baseball, I have also provided the present scenario in the game.
