All in all, health care is a commercialized system and does detract attention from those who need it, aside from failing to provide all with sufficient care due to some being less privileged than others. Nonetheless, at the end of the day, health care is a business with doctors needing to be paid, as all of us are. Technology and services cost and someone has to pay for that. Parenti's ideas are utopian and ideal. They can work best in an ideal world. But ours is not.
