Plumbing is an important part of the home, and a professional should have been consulted in the preliminary months of owning the home. Taking these steps could have considerably mitigated the setback suffered by the couple when the pipe broke.

However, planning should include investigations to reveal the possibility of such problems in the future. Building a solid structure on items that might be in need of future maintenance or repair is a clear case of bad planning on the part of the professionals in charge of the work. While the couple was able to move back into their home after the two weeks, it was with a considerable sense of loss and with the feeling of excitement considerably diminished. It is therefore vitally important that all aspects of building be carefully planned at the initial stages to avoid loss and stress in the long run.
