This is good background for anyone to understand what can happen when an agreement sours, and helps create a broader foundation for writing a contract. It also gives a much clearer account of the many things that can go wrong with a business contract, and what to watch out for before signing any contract. This article also points out the need to read more than one or two articles on any subject, for a more thorough understanding of all the items involved and elements necessary for completion. Reading only one of these articles would not give the reader a complete idea of a business contract, but reading both articles gives a much more useful picture of what to include and watch out for. While much of the information in this article mirrors the first article, it is a little more difficult to follow because of the way it is presented. While it does go into more detail in some areas, the bullet points of the first article help keep it organized and focused. The information here is good, and helpful to just about any businessperson, but it could have been presented in a more useful way.
To be fair, the article does reference a "contract checklist," however, the link takes the reader to a page where they must purchase the checklist. The Quicken.com article presents the information free. The best way to write a contract, using these two articles, would be to combine the information in both for a more effective and complete business contract.
