Discuss how doing case analysis will help you develop skills needed to prepare recommendations for consideration in a Strategic Plan.

In partaking in a case study analysis, I will be familiarizing myself with the various challenges that organizations or business enterprises encounter. This way, I can be able to apply the knowledge gathered to assess performance issues and diagnose the root cause of such concerns. Further, I would be able to better analyze the competitive environment with an intention of proposing ideal strategies for implementation in efforts to further enhance profitability. It should also be noted that in doing case analysis, I will be able to develop better understanding of various business-level strategies to be deployed in diverse scenarios. All these will come in handy in the preparation of recommendations to be taken into account in a strategic plan. As XXXX () indicate, the relevance of a strategic plan cannot be overstated in efforts to promote communication and achieve greater commitment, i.e. in relation to the achievement of objectives and implementation of strategies.

What is a business model and how can it disrupt a company, industry and or both? Provide at least two examples

In basic terms, a business model could be conceptualized as a frame that defines an enterprise’s value creation of profit creation framework. Thus, it is a business’ operational framework. Towards this end, it could capture diverse aspects of the target market and the product/service being offered for sale. To a large extent, a business model could disrupt the industry by seeking to tackle specific demands of the said market that have been ignored or repressed by the existing players in the past. For instance, to some extent, Netflix’s business model essentially disrupted the entire entertainment industry in the sense that this particular streaming service was able to address some of the needs (i.e. in relation to convenience and cost) that we being ignored by established players in the video rental realm. Tesla also deployed a unique business model (in the sense that it delivered what established players had failed to deliver) that effectively disrupted the automotive industry.
