When she decided to upgrade the company with computer systems, the main objective of her decision was to implement systems whereby all the important company information and data could be maintained electronically on databases. This decision was taken in the light of new advancement in technology, especially keeping in mind that with an organized electronic database, expansion of the company would pose no problems at all. Some of the database management approaches, recommended to her included inventory tracking, marketing research and preparation, sales projection and various financial reports. Keeping in view the changes that needed to be made, Doris Cervantes agreed with the business computer solutions to structure her database.

The first task at hand was to upgrade the outdated computer to start off with the project. To provide all the information online to authorized personal, one computer was set to serve as the web server, the task of this computer would be to redirect all data queries to the main database server. This system would manage the raw materials needed for making the product along with the costs and other relevant information for the company staff. To cater to customers and other clients, the company website can serve as the point of contact between them and the company enabling them to place orders and even have access to the stock available The consultancy team met all the requirements in their plan and succeeded because with so many new changes they stuck to the principle of simplicity.
