Export Business Plan: Moldovan Cellular Phones
Purpose-Why has the plan been written?
The plan has been written in order to guide our mobile phone export business. Cell phones in Moldova are rapidly overtaking land phones as many cellular phones now provide Internet access and cell phone computers. SMS, MMS and broadband are becoming standard features on cell phones. Nonetheless, mobile phones are expensive in Moldova and not everyone can afford them. Furthermore, although Moldova has made great lines in improving their technology in the telecommunications area, there is still line for improvement. Cellphones need to be upgrade to a 4G level. At the moment they are ranked at 2G and 3G. Moldovan Cellular Phones can find their niche by exporting refurbished cheap mobile phones to Moldova, introducing cheap policies and incentives, and providing Moldavians with quality mobile phones at competitive prices. The potential for success is huge.

Exchange ate Trends:
The Canadian dollar has been consistently, slightly less valuable than the U.S. dollar for many years and is poised to stay that way. The opportunity for exchange goods and production has remained rather high for this reason. "Canadian dollars per U.S. dollar - 1.3015 (2004), 1.4011 (2003), 1.5693 (2002), 1.5488 (2001), 1.4851 (2000)" (CIA World Factbook "Canada," 2005, NP)
Import estrictions:
Import restrictions in Canada are relatively low, as a result of NAFTA, which guides some semblance of open border free trade.
Price Controls:
There are no price controls on tech products in Canada. Pricing of the product will be comparable to the sale price in the U.S. The Game sells as a unit with the year subscription to upgrades, for $35.95 U.S..
Government and Public Attitudes to U.S. Products:
The U.S. is Canada's largest trade partner, with the exchange being near 61% as compared to other…

Despite these fluctuations in pricing levels, current projects indicate that demand for ginseng will continue to increase in the future due to greater demands from a burgeoning middle class Chinese market (How to grow ginseng, 2012). Although wild-grown ginseng commands higher prices, cultivated alternatives typically weigh more but the Chinese highly prefer the wild-grown version (How to grow ginseng, 2012).
As shown in Figure 1 below, West Virginia is located within the zones (3-8) that are regarded as being especially appropriate for cultivating wild-grown ginseng.

While West Virginia is located in a highly desirable geographic location for cultivating ginseng, the task is fraught with opportunities for failure, weather conditions can adversely affect the growing cycle, the plants are sparse and difficult to locate, and the actual growing process, as well as its clinical effects, remain better described…

Some Brazilian businesses might want to engage in joint arrangements to have workers going to do business or live abroad in English-speaking languages learn from these tapes, and there could be special discount agreements with such companies, to make use of these resources. Additionally, the national economy would greatly benefit from a more fluent population that was better able to engage in a variety of business endeavors in other nations. This would encourage the Brazilian government to not place any additional legal obstacles when engaging in negotiations regarding such an exporting arrangement.
There already a clear and strong desire to learn more about the United States, to do business with the United States, and to travel to the United States. Brazil was the ninth largest source of visitors to the United States in 2004 and has one of the fastest growing outbound travel markets in the world. "ith only 4…

Inventory Management Strategy. In his book, Streetwise Project Management, Dobson (2003) advocates the use of a just-in-time inventory management strategy to keep inventories low and manufacturing process more productive. This approach, though, will require close coordination with a Brazilian supplier, warehousing operations, planners and forecasters, and transportation directors throughout the inventory management process. In this regard, Epps (1995) advises, that such an approach requires the efficient transportation of materials from outside vendors directly to the work-in-process area, where the required value added processes of the manufacturing operations take place, which is followed by the shipping of the finished products to the customer within a reasonable timeframe. This inventory management strategy can save manufacturers the costs of inspection, stocking, material handling, inventory tracking, carrying the inventory, and the dangers that are typically related to damage to parts and their tendency to become obsolete over time (Epps).
The just-in-time inventory management strategy…

Business Plan
Marketing Business Plan
This proposal is a precursor for a fully evaluative marketing business plan. It will be used to create a dedicated and focused marketing campaign that aims to increase the overall sales of our new fuel efficient vehicle. The proposal seeks to offer a sound plan to increase vehicle sales through a combined sales and marketing approach.
The need for this more aggressive marketing campaign arose after management discovered that the overall cost per unit greatly exceeded expectations and would therefore require a much greater levels of sales success. To achieve these higher levels of sales success, we will more than likely be required to clearly define a unique niche consumer base. The objective of this proposal is to create a viable blueprint for designing a marketing strategy and then using it as the foundation for a successful marketing campaign that increases vehicle sales.

Business plan for a Multi-National Enterprise that conducts Foreign Direct Investment
Description of the MNE
Paradise Baby Food Company (PBFC) proposes to invest in a factory in India, one of the countries where Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is growing at a momentous pace, and from there not only create its unique product but also have access to a growing market that is interested in western products. PBFC intends to develop a complete line of health food products for children, using minimal processing techniques. All products will contain wholesome ingredients such as herbs and naturally derived vitamins, minerals, and other supplements. They will be free of chemicals and additives. The herbs are more plentiful in, and cheaper to gain and process, from India. Other companies claim to sell healthy and nutritious baby food, but their herbs are either processed so finely that little remains, or they are imported from long distance…

Promotion Mix
Advertising will consist of distributor-oriented materials and programs for the local market and the sale of the imported coffee, while in the foreign market for the exported cotton the focus will be on specific manufacturers. Quality and price will be important factors for both products and markets, with sales promotions achieved through ongoing competitive efforts and product samples rather than specific promotional periods or programs. This will help to establish long-term and trusted relationships without the potential pitfalls of more complex variations and changes in sales promotions strategies, which is ideal when the selling mode is wholesale rather than retail focused (Ireland et al., 2005).

Business Plan for Argos Shipping Company
The proposal attempts to inaugurate a new shipping business to meet the demand for an overwhelming increase in the shipping services. Moreover, an increase in the level of international business has led to a rapid increase in demand for shipping services that offer reliability, convenience, speed, and promise. Moreover, the shipping industry is rapidly changing and growing because of the rapid rate of international trade, however, it is still pertinent to realize that shipping industry involves a lot of money because the business is competitive and capital intensive. More importantly, starting the shipping business requires having in-depth knowledge of container, import, and export, and logistics industries. Despite our intention to start the shipping business, we still need a business plan to realize our goal.
A business plan is one of the strategies that can assist a start-up company in succeeding in the shipping business,…

Products from Al Merik Surfboard Company are known all over the world and they have been quite marketable abroad. Business Ethics
Pattern of Ethical Challenges
One company that consistently makes the news because of ethical issues is Walmart. This essay examines business ethics as practiced at Walmart.
Founded in 1962, Walmart has grown to sales of $405 billion and more than 2.1 million associates worldwide. The company is now ranked as the world's largest retail chain. But that explosive growth has also made Walmart an exceptional target. How many companies can boast of their own dedicated watchdog organizations, whose sole purpose is monitoring the company's performance on a wide range of issues related to business ethics? Walmart is such a company, although it would probably prefer otherwise. According to the website of Walmart Watch, it exists solely to "hold Walmart fully accountable for its impact on communities, the American workforce, the retail sector, the environment and the nation's economy" (Walmart Watch, 2011). Launched in 2005, Walmart Watch's stated purpose…

Exporting a Ready-to-Drink Cold Coffee Product to Australia
The following details a market plan to export a ready-to-drink cold coffee product to Australia. The product is similar to Starbucks Frappuccino, which is the market leader in the industry in America, having around 90% market share. The product is named Elixa and will be manufactured and sold in America as well as exported to Australia.
Australia as the Export Country of Choice
There are several reasons why Australia has been selected as the country of choice. Firstly, it is important to recognize that the product will also be sold and marketed in America. Australia has been chosen because of the seasonal variation compared to America, because the market leader Starbucks has not established a market in Australia, because it is a stable market and finally, because Australia is an Americanized market.
Firstly, the seasonal variation is important. As a cold product,…

As such, Chavez's initiative inspires international leaders to increase their independence from a single force. Managers are encouraged to become more independent, to focus their efforts towards developing a solution to their problems without the aid of foreigners. Furthermore, international rulers are advised to take action in regard to their issues instead of waiting for a tertiary intervention.
The actors on the international management scene are also encouraged to seek assistance and develop relationships with their neighbours and other parties that might find themselves in similar situations and who have similar desires and expectations. As such, the decision to open a new development bank in South America inspires international leaders who rule over smaller communities to join forces in order to reach their goals and also to decrease their dependence on one strong force.

However, collection of information about customers, necessary as it in any form of relationship marketing, has different challenges on the Internet than in face-to-face marketing and/or data collection and research programs. First, web clients may often be anonymous -- consumers may be whomever they wish to be over the Internet and the researcher has no way of verifying such. Second, consumers are increasingly wary of providing personal information about themselves over the Internet for fear of cybercrime, misuse of data and even companies purporting to be market research and collecting information for something entirely different. Thus, the trust and accuracy level diminishes on both sides when someone is not physically present -- even though the amount of data collected and the cost per collection is quite low (Lee, 2001, 12-14). Sources of consumer information, then, must be vetted in a way to preserve their authenticity -- that information may be…

A distribution center will definitely be needed in Hong Kong, with full-time management and a staff of at least 25. Contract transportation drivers can be used to bring product from the distribution center to retail locations. Financial needs will be somewhat substantial at first to carry out securing the distribution center, hiring and training staff, and marketing the product, however there is substantial capital available to support this venture (General Mills, 2012a).

There is a process by which there is both a decrease in the number of jobs that is increasing, and this is coupled with a global transfer of jobs to less developed countries. oth of these have an impact in the decrease in availability of jobs in the advanced countries. The latest news on this front is from the United States. On the 5th of the current month, there was an announcement from the Labor Department that there has been growth in the United States economy and this had led to the creation of 21,000 new jobs. The previous predictions from the economists had been that there would be a creation of 150,000 jobs, and this number is far below the expected growth. The number of jobs created is also far lower then the growth in population that occurred during that period. The rate of unemployment in…

Removing losses from the company's books made the main corporation look more attractive. Enron appeared to be operating at a profit; a key factor in the valuation of any company's stock. By virtue of this "success," Enron was able to raise even more money for more investments.
The architects of all this "growth" profited accordingly. Ken Lay and his associates held large amounts of exceedingly valuable and overvalued stock. hen Enron's cheating was finally exposed, it became painfully apparent to what extent Ken Lay, Jeff Skilling, and other Enron executives had been making vast sums of money on the backs of gullible workforce, and a gullible public:
The "Enron Nine" (if we may call them that) are J.P. Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Credit Suisse First Boston, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers. These financial institutions collaborated with the now-bankrupt energy company…
39 It was against this background that ASEAN Foreign Ministers during their retreat at Cebu in the Philippines in April 2005 decided to lay down three main criteria for the membership of the EAS: 1. Substantive relations with ASEAN; 2. Full Dialogue Partner status; and 3. Accession to the ASEAN's Treaty of Amity and Co-operation. The Foreign Minister of Singapore had stated that, India obviously qualifies on all three counts and it will be included in the first EAS. e hope that Australia and New Zealand which have not acceded to the TAC, will agree to the TAC in the coming months (Battese & Coelli, 1992-page 18). If so, we would welcome them to the EAS in Kuala Lumpur. The Minister further added that ASEAN alone will decide the future members of all subsequent summits and ?this is to ensure that ASEAN remains in the driver's seat of the EAS…

Business in Czech epublic
Doing business in a foreign country is never easy. It is not so much about the tax regulations, import/export duties or getting a license. The main challenges accrue from the differences in cultural values and social or religious beliefs. For Steve, it may prove easier to at least communicate with the people and establish a bond with them. It is also important to know that Czech epublic is very keen on attracting foreign investment and a strong U.S. presence is desired. For this reason, Steve doesn't need to worry about whether he will be welcome in that country or not. As for cultural differences, it must be borne in mind that both Czech epublic and the U.S. have some similarities and some differences but these differences can act as a major hurdle if not properly understood. Business is often taken seriously in the Czech epublic and…

Obesity Prevention
Marketing Plan
Obesity Prevention Nonprofit Organizational Marketing Plan
The primary purpose of this report is to help investors understand the need for a program which will help reduce obesity throughout the UK and then less developed countries in Eastern Europe. The problem is that the environment that many developed countries have created for themselves advances obesity without intending to. There is also the danger among less developed countries, that are beginning to see some amount of prosperity, that they could have the same issues that the rest of the developed world is having (Hill, Wyatt & Peters, 2005).
The goal is to use a program that has been proven to be effective to make sure that people have the tools that they need to be able to combat obesity. The issue is that the predominance of obesity is among the poor and especially with women and children. Therefore,…

The concept of brand loyalty is gradually wiping out. It is the enterprise with a persona that will become successful in the 21st century, according to Steven Cohen, the director of corporate development for the accounting and professional services firm of Goldstein Golub Kessler & Co. (Pollan, 1993)
Irrespective of the type of business with which the entrepreneur is involved it is required to allure and maintain good people those can serve as the replica of the entrepreneur while addressing the customers. This is not possible unless some type of enduring relationship is offered to them. One normal mode is to deploy individuals those may not desire permanent relationship. There may be people thinking of flex-time or part-time positions to harmonize their home lives. Or they may be the older individuals those think the complete retirement is not what they desire. Irrespective of their environment, the entrepreneur is required to…

Dole and Chiquita - Organic Bananas
Production Differentiation
Going (Organic) Bananas
When it comes to bananas, Dole has long been at a disadvantage. Dole is association for most Americans with pineapples and with various shady dealings in Hawai'i. If you want to go bananas, you go to Chiquita.
This paper examines the marketing strategy currently employed by Dole Bananas, asking how well this company is doing against others in the banana business as well as asking from what other directions Dole might face competition in the future and how well it is prepared to meet those challenges.
Chiquita is indeed Dole's major competitor at least in terms of banana sales (it is not a significant competitor in terms of pineapples, for example) and the two companies have clearly tried in recent years to differentiate themselves from each other so as to grab a larger share of the market. This is…

Socio-Cultural Environment
Home to the world's tenth largest economy and second largest population, India defies swift generalization. It includes a vast range of developmental situations, cultures, languages, and climates. The country remains largely rural, with just 26% of its people living in cities. Yet in 1995 it had over 30 cities of one million or more residents, including three of the world's 20 largest cities -- Bombay, Calcutta, and Delhi -- according to United Nations estimates (The Anguish of India, 1997).
Currently Indian labor laws, regulations, and workforce standards are very outdated. India is plagued with corruption. India has been ranked 9th in a list of 75 countries where dishonest practices are common, which is indeed an uncertain distinction. The corruptions, delays, bureaucratic red tape, and archaic labor laws are ingrained in India's business culture. These pitfalls have deterred foreign investors from investing in India (Stokes, 2003).

The differences in culture with the American culture will meant the American staff that may go to help open the branches in China will have to take quite some time to learn the culture and the ways of the people there.
The other difficulty will be the language barrier that may exists between the Americans and the Chinese. It may even call for a translator in the initial days as transactions between the American sales people and the Chinese customers, or interaction between the staff themselves may be a big challenge.
On the technical side, the Wal-Mart may have it hard when it comes to acquainting themselves with the market trends and the competition from the older players who are already in operation in China. It will take a lot of research work to be able to know the finer details of the market trends and the ways through which…

Marketing (Water Fans, India)
Industry outlook
The market in India for water fans or misting fans as they are also called is problematical at best. Without doubt, the climate (except in the northern mountains) is hot; the problem is, it is also quite humid. Still, the Indian people have been looking for ways to stay cool for centuries. It was India that gave the world the slatted shutter; when air comes in through small spaces (as in shutters, adopted in the American South before air conditioning, or in lattice-work walls as in parts of India), it is cooled. Still, they did not develop a cooling system like that of that ancient omans, which did use water running through channels to create condensation. The reason, of course, is the problem of water quality. While industrial pollution has now added immeasurably to the water quality problems in India, the sluggish flow of…

Global usiness Cultural Analysis: Singapore
The objective of this study is to answer the questions how the major elements and dimension of culture including religion, ethics, values, attitudes, manners, customs, social structures, and organizations integrated in Singapore by local conducting business. Finally, this work will examine the implications for United States businesses that wish to conduct business in Singapore.
The work of Abeysinghe and Choy (2009) reports that the economy in Singapore has been undergone a transformation that has turned it into "…an Asian powerhouse…" due to the "far-sighted economic policies. The economy of Singapore is proof of the outcome of a market-driven economy taking place during fast development of high per capita income, and an environment free of corruption in which the workforce is both motivated and educated. Questions to be answered throughout this process include "What is the salary range for the position? What is the hiring salary range for the position? Do you (the company) ever pay higher that that range? If so, for what reason? What is the average increase being given? After one year?... How often is the employee reviewed? For performance? Salary" (Krueger, 2008).
Negotiation should be used for both salary raises, but also the granting of premiums and benefits. Some of the most notable benefits of engaging in negotiation include the creation of better communication networks between staff members and management (Hinkel, 2005). Then, the levels of trust between the parties increase and finally, as the employee gets a sense of being valued and listened to within the organization, his efforts, performances and commitment to the organizational goals are likely to register significant increases.
The executives at Final Touch should also consider…

These other barriers are of various natures and can include social and cultural barriers or difficulties related to an unsatisfactory communications system or transportation network.
From a cultural perspective, the Indian population is highly different from the American one. The people are more conservative and might find it difficult to accept foreigners. However, since the Exceed Corporation is focused on offering their consultancy services to state institutions or the Indian government, they would have little to do with the general population. And also, the Indian citizens are more and more oriented towards the liberalization of their economy. The language barrier would be barely existent since the large majority of the Indians speak English. "English enjoys associate status but is the most important language for national, political, and commercial communication" (Central Intelligence Agency, 2008).
However still underdeveloped, at least in comparison to the United States, the communication systems and transportation networks…

Beijing
The population of Beijing is somewhat homogenous in that the people are almost entirely Han Chinese, but the city does act as a magnet for Chinese from around the country. There can be significant cultural and even linguistic differences between Chinese from different parts of the country. hile the city is 96% Han, there are significant minorities of Manchu, Hui and Mongol (Beijing elcome, 2012), in addition a foreigner population for which estimates vary significantly but is well over 100,000 (Sina.com, 2010). The primary language spoken in Mandarin. All Chinese are taught the Beijing dialect (Putonghua) in school, so even migrants from other parts of the country should be functional in Mandarin. Most long-term foreigners in Beijing also speak Mandarin.
In addition to being the political and cultural capital of China, Beijing is one of its most important economic cities. The city's economy is rapidly growing, and 71.3% of…

Management
Any business that seeks to become internationally viable needs an export strategy. There are certain steps that managers must follow to create such a strategy. According to Adams (n.d.), such a strategy must be well planned in order to create a profitable international venture. According to the author, this involves steps like determining the target market, recognizing internal and external expertise, establishing marketing tactics, and determining the amount of commitment to international ventures within the company. After the international venture has been implemented, there should also be a long-term strategy in terms of evaluation and re-evaluation throughout the stages of the strategy.
As the first step, proper planning is the most important component of ensuring the success of the export strategy. Planning means the assessment of information like facts, constraints, goals, and objectives. Plans also need to include time schedules and milestones. These will then help to assess the…

Danfoss HR managers had to understand these cultural clashes and devised extensive employee training programs and personality development seminars. The management also devised a platform to address employee grievances. It is necessary to conduct such seminars and employee training programs to provide the Chinese employees the cultural orientation to equip them with the skills necessary for working in a global concern. Danfoss management has learnt from its initial experience the importance of understanding and appreciating the cultural differences involved in globalization. The human resource department of the Chinese subsidiary focuses on bridging the gap and promoting a more efficient working platform, which would contribute to the overall profitability of the company. As one of the Supply chain managers at Danfoss put it ' adapt to the Chinese way on the outside and doing things our own way inside the company'. [Jonathan Story]
As discussed above Danfoss has huge market potential…

Mills
Decisions about international business take into account a wide range of different factors, including political, economic and social environments, in addition to firm-specific issues such as where to produce, what the company makes and how easy it is to ship the company's product. In this report, the case of General Mills in Europe will be considered. General Mills is a major producer on consumer consumables, and the countries in question are going to be France and Greece. The paper is going to discuss the key issues with respect to each country, keeping in mind the General Mills context.
General Mills produces food under a number of common household brands -- Cheerios, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Haagen-Dazs, Old El Paso, Yoplait and Nature Valley. The company is based in Minneapolis and began in 1860 with two flour mills, hence the name. The company would change its name to Gold Medal Flour…

Sage, who has seen how costly application customization can be, has created a series of template-based charts of accounts, with the last count indicating they had over 70 of Charts of Accounts that could be quickly used by customers to customize for their business. Sage has also seen that inordinate customization of software can lead to a lack of adoption; hence their motivation for creating a library that can easily be used by customers. As Peachtree suffered from an exceptionally bad reputation for usability in its first several product generations on the Microsoft Windows platform (Collins, 2006), Sage is attempting to overcome these limitations through intensive investment in ergonomics and usability. Adding to these efforts include the development of an Online Knowledgebase and Help Center, in addition to the development of AJAX-based microsites that interlink content together. All of these sources of data are in turn integrated via XML to…

The approach Sony continues to take is one of concentrating on continual process improvement to become more agile and resilient in the face of environmental factors (Olenick, 2010) while at the same time seeking to comply with national requirements for sustainability and green initiatives including supply chain compliance (Svensson, 2009).
Legal Factors -- Sony has a culture that embraces learning as a virtue, and continually strives to gain insights from the experiences of other Japanese companies and their legal and regulatory lessons learned. The case mentioned earlier of Toshiba Machinery Company and their sales of unauthorized milling machines to the ussians decades ago still is a foundational element of Japanese ethical training for managers (Ohishi, Naoto, 1993). As the United States and other western nations have continually seen the level of compliance and reporting escalate up through government edict, Sony has continually had to increase its focus on contract management…

A favorite target for conspiracists today as well as in the past, a group of European intellectuals created the Order of the Illuminati in May 1776, in Bavaria, Germany, under the leadership of Adam Weishaupt (Atkins, 2002). In this regard, Stewart (2002) reports that, "The 'great' conspiracy organized in the last half of the eighteenth century through the efforts of a number of secret societies that were striving for a 'new order' of civilization to be governed by a small group of 'all-powerful rulers.' The most important of these societies, and the one to which all subsequent conspiracies could be traced, is the Illuminati founded in Bavaria on May 1, 1776 by Adam Weishaupt" (p. 424). According to Atkins, it was Weishaupt's fundamental and overriding goal to form a secret organization of elite members of Europe's leading citizens who could then strive to achieve the Enlightenment version of revolutionary social…

Wal-Mart in Hong Kong
The Wal-Mart store is one of the leading American subsidized markets for domestic goods that have been subsidized. In the recent past, it has been considering expansion of their stores to other countries and one of them would be Hong Kong in China.
eason why choose Hong Kong to expand
One reason why the Wal-Mart should invest in Hong Kong is the promising economic trends that are there. The total world trade that was experienced in January to July 2007 was a staggering $391.9 billions, which was a 12.4% increment as compared to the same period of the previous year as shown in Consulate General of India, (2007). This was perpetuated by the steady demand from mainland China and particularly for industrial export products like the electronics and electronic components.
The other reason is that there is a British legal system that has been…
