Heroes. Inspirational people. People who endured hardships. People who educated themselves. People who make the world a better place whether these people are or are not famous. Resilient individuals. Selfless individuals. People who give to others and are respected, not for their intellectual qualities or gifts as much as for their character traits and perseverance in overcoming difficulty. People who make a difference in life.

Qualities

The qualities are the following: responsible, resilience, humble, hardworking, persistent and strong. Warmhearted, loving and standing up for one's principles. Endurance too and humor.

Suffering is a common theme too. Others are friendship. Support, honesty and care. Hardworking, diligence, perseverance, trust. Kindness. Generosity. Stability. Goodness. Loyalty. Selflessness. Optimism. Courage. Altruism . Self-discipline. Wisdom. Loyal;, compassionate, hardworking. Spontaneous. Thoughtful. Beneveolent. Intelligent, funny. Witty. Hardworking. Honest. Trustworthy. Resourceful. Consistent. Integrity. Genuine. Brave. Charitable. Using suffering to help others. Appreciative. Willpower. Consideration. Loving kindness.

My impressions of this piece of writing are that the author sees the good in the people who are closest to her in her life and that she admires people who are resourceful, spirited, kind, gentle, and perhaps most of all able to subsist on a little and overcome great odds. It is not wealth or external qualities that matter to her, rather she respects the individuals who epitomize strength and resilience and go on to succeed int heir own small way making a difference in their world. One of these individuals happens to be Michale J. Fox, but she admires Fox, not because of his TV appearances but rather because of his contribution to the world following his bout with paralysis and because of his extraordinary courage and moral strength in battling his disease and in using it to help others.

Were I therefore to categorize this essay into an y dominating theme it would be moral strength and fortitude.

Sub-themes would be the various moral qualities represented in this essay as categorized under the above title of Qualities. These qualities would be my codes. If I were to quantity this codes I may do 0 or 1 as absence or possession of the quality or rate its intensity with a numeric figure.

Another dominant category is family / friends / heroes. Family is the most all-pervading theme. This would show the greatest diversity and scope. Friend appears only once, as does hero.
