Health is a very important part of human existence. We also live in very interesting times when there are new lifestyle diseases that emerge which require enormous medical resources in terms of finances to treat. Medical providers are thus faced with quite a number of challenges in their endeavor to provide efficient and adequate healthcare to their patients. The changes have gone as far as healthcare delivery, technological advances, and increased patient expectation. EBP is a designed systemic process meant to improve healthcare provision. The first step is to use the evidence gathered to design health practice change. The system is thereafter trailed to evaluate its feasibility. The evaluation is done in terms of the processes and outcome. This form of decision making is particularly important when practice suggestions are conflict or none at all is clear to be utilized. It can help avoid unnecessary spending related to neglecting of a practice or making an improvement that is not sustained.

Some of EBP improvements in the health sector may not prove to be cost saving but in the long run can achieve equally valuable outcome especially patient satisfaction; this satisfies the mission of the healthcare provider.
