Personality Assessment Albanian refugees from Kosovo'

This paper is a research assignment regarding all aspects facing Albanians from Kosovo.

Over the past, there have been various, significantly dramatic instances during which individuals and whole communities have migrated from their homelands as a result of a particularly crucial issue or predicament, relocating themselves within foreign regions and countries. The degree of immigrants is usually controllable buy the concerned authorities of the country which is being inundated by the immigrants, this, however, being a course of action that is not, usually, as effective as would be desired, as a result of the rate of immigration usually being so significant that by the time the authorities are even aware of the threat posed, the country is already heavily prevalent with immigrants from a particular country. A significant case of this sort of immigration has been that the Albanians of Kosovo were forced to partake in as a result of there being a dramatic rise in the degree of ethnic animosity and violence in the region, threatening the very existence of minorities, Albanians as well as others.

Albanians from Kosovo; NATO intervention

The situation that instigated this remarkably strong wave of Albanian from Kosovo to immigrate in such haste was a result of a string of massacres that began on the fifteenth of January 1999. These massacres came about as the Yugoslav Army and police attacked on three villages, including Racak, Stimlje, and Pristina in Kosovo, killing 45 unarmed ethnic Albanian civilians. The reason for this string of attacks was that particular ethnic Albanian militants of a notorious militant movement going under the name of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the KLA, had killed four Serbian police officers during the recent past.

The most crucial aspect inherent to the situation was that a conflict had been carrying on between the two major masses in Kosovo for generations already; between Serbs, who believe Kosovo to be Yugoslav territory, and Albanians, mostly Muslims, who represent 90% of the population in Kosovo.' As a result of the drastic casualties that were becoming more frequent with...

Thus, the NATO forces, in an effort to dissipate the extreme degree of bloodshed and sectarian violence, began bombing the Serbs so as to, according to themselves, prevent the violence from overflowing into the entire region.
This bombing, however, lead to only worsen the circumstances, particularly in so much as bringing about, as an immediate result, a much higher death count than any that had yet been assessed. This led President Clinton to state that the Yugoslavs had slaughtered tens of thousands' of the Albanian ethnicity, a statement that was later proven to be false, probably given in order to divert the blame for the casualties.

The immigration; reasons

It was basically as a result of the NATO bombing and the immediately following phase of ethnic cleansing that was implemented by the KLA upon the provinces Serbian and Gypsy ethnicities that the degree of ethnic minorities form Kosovo, particularly Albanians, were forced to migrate to safer regions, Switzerland and Germany turning out to be the countries which were most frantically sought after. Furthermore, the massacre that was unleashed in 1999 as a result of a desire for the revenge of the killing of the four Serbian police officials was a trial of violence during which the Yugoslav authorities didn't see any parameters to the wreaking of havoc and death upon the Albanian ethnicities.

That is to say that they, the attacking officials, conducted their grisly implementation of violence without the slightest regard for women or children, simply killing who so ever came within the range of their ammunition, this being clearly apparent when considered in light of the fact that they were given no chance to escape, and when they did try to escape they were just cut down in gunfire.'

Reasons inherent to the choice of the refugees falling upon Switzerland

One of the most apparent reasons inherent to the fact that a vast majority of the refugees resorted to Switzerland in order to see asylum is probably the liberalism prevalent in…

History / Politics There are a number of salient issues to consider when discerning a mayoral candidate for a city as large and as prominent as New York City. Many of these issues are discussed within this week's readings, the introduction to Bruce Berg's New York City Politics: Governing Gotham, and "The Tiger" from Luc Sante's Low Life. The principle point of commonality dealt with between these two works is social

Analysis of A Theology of Liberation: History, Politics, and Salvation Summary The first part of the book by Gutierrez addresses the issue of what is meant by liberation (1). It begins with a discussion of theological reflection, and the assumption underlying this concept is that it arises spontaneously in the believer. Gutierrez then goes on to explain that the world has changed and is thus in need of a new perspective of

Rather than continue the process that began in the first two books, in which the Rosicrucian Order first announced themselves, gave their history, and then responded to certain criticisms while making their position within Christian theology clearer, the Chymical Wedding can almost be seen as the first instance of literature written within the Rosicrucian tradition, rather than as part of its manifesto-like founding documents, because it does not seek to

It was an important event in the nation's history because it was the first time that America was dominated by internal conflicts that challenged its democracy (Fortuna, n.d.). However, once the fighting came to an end, its significance became clear because of its effects on the American society. Despite of taking more than 60,000 lives, the American Civil War contributed to the establishment of the Democratic South and Republican North.

As many historians admit, his skills in argument and rhetoric were instrumental in getting the Declaration accepted by the American people. As mentioned, this was not an easy task, as there were many who were opposed and some leaders even threatened that "...their states would secede from the fragile union if independence were declared. Leaders of the Congress, such as Adams, risked being executed as traitors to the Crown"

This is not always the case. Some may be educated and economically well off, within particular fundamentalist sects, but use an idealistic vision of the past to provide a solution to what they see is lacking in the contemporary world. This was true of the Muslim Brotherhood of 1929, which used religion as part of its ideology of colonial resistance -- and is also true of many of the
