How would you tell his story?

To begin I would tell the story of Jesus starting with his birth and context surrounding it. Here, the world was marred in sin. Since the period of Adam and Eve, the world has been plagued with sin and its surrounding consequences. Man has since been forced to repent and use sacrifices to help assuage the wrath of God. At one point in the bible, Joseph was even going to slay his own sun Isaac as a means of appeasing God and to be pleasurable in his sight. As all men fall short, and all men are sinful, Jesus was required in order to be the ultimately sacrifice. Through this death, others would be saved.

The story of Jesus begins 6 B.C. in Bethlehem. His story is primarily told through the four gospels within the new testament. The books of Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John detail the story of Jesus and how he overcame mush adversity. As a living incarnation of God, his life is to memorialized and followed although most men will fall short.

Jesus was born to the virgin Mary and Joseph a carpenter through the immaculate conception. Unfortunately, Jesus was born during the reign of Kind Herod, who upon the birth of Jesus felt threatened due to a prior prophecy. Herod therefore attempted to kill Jesus by murdering all male children under the age of two years old. According to the story, Joseph was told this would occur by an angel. He then took his wife and Jesus to nearby Egypt to await the death of Kind Herod. Once the death of Herod was known, Joseph returned and settled in Nazareth.

Working as a carpenter, Jesus was eventually baptized at the age of 30 where he began his ministry. The bible is subsequently littered with his extraordinary works which include walking on water, healing the sick, turning wine into water, and rising from the dead. Here, Jesus travelled the world looking to help inspire and save the souls of the lost. He conducted many miracles that inspired others to follow his preaching’s. Many of these teachings are still practices today. The concept of turning the other cheek, being frugal, and helping others in need are all concepts within the bible that are used to guide Christians. He lived a perfect life and one that was designed to be emulated by others who are practicing Christians. He avoided the temptation of the devil on multiple occasions to further confirm his steadfast desire to live an honorable and respectable life.

To conclude my story, I would explain the circumstances surrounding the death of Jesus and his resurrection. The death of Jesus is a critical element within the overall Christian faith. Here, not only was Jesus betrayed but he knew the betrayal would occur. Due in part to his faith, Jesus would eventually be crucified and die for the sins of others. This death was followed by the resurrection of Jesus which occurred as his final act towards both his followers and non-followers.

What sayings or events would be included?

The events that I would include are the circumstances of the birth of Jesus. I would also include many of the miracle that he performed throughout his journeys. These miracles are important element with the story of Jesus as it helps illustrate this powers and abilities to help others. It also helps provide context into his ability as the son of God. I would also include elements related to his baptism and how he overcame temptation from the devil. These are important elements for practicing Christians as it provides a standard to aspire to. This is particularly true now that the world is transitioning into a social media age. Here, the temptation to fall from grace is much greater and therefore requires a strong resolve to stay committed to the biblical principles practiced by Jesus. Finally, I would conclude with the death and resurrection of Jesus. This too is critical element within the biblical text and one that should not be overlooked. Here, the death and resurrection of Jesus symbolizes a number of core concepts within the Christian faith. This concept is also one of the foundations behind baptism and the need for born again Christians to be renewed in their commitment and relations with God (Helen, 2012).

How would it begin? How would it end?

As noted earlier, the story would begin with the circumstances surrounding the birth of Jesus and how his father Joseph overcame them. I would then transition into his early years being sure to describe his work as a carpenter. After his early years, I would shift to the early years of the Jesus’ ministry at the age of 30. A bulk of the story would revolve around his teachings and principles that helped enable inspire and motivate the Christian population.
