Unforeseen and Serious Barriers and/or Problems That Caused the Lack of Satisfactory Academic Progress

I had difficulty maintaining satisfactory academic performance (SAP) because of problems at home. In particular, both my mother and grandmother have been ill throughout most of the semester. Helping them has taken a lot of time and energy on my part. Normally, my mother looks after Grandma, but when she got sick, too, this put me in the position of having to deal with everything. My school work suffered because I did not have as much time and energy to apply myself to the level I normally would. I did not always have the ability to commit my best to the assignments, and I think my grade reflected that.

Clearly Illustrate the changes that have occurred which will ensure the circumstance noted will no longer affect your academic success moving forward.

My mother is starting to feel better, and this should help me a lot. First, it allows me to spend less time caring for her and Grandma, because she is not going to need as much care and also because she can look after Grandma. With that, I should have much more time and energy to dedicate to my school work.

Briefly state your reasoning for attending school as well as why you feel you are a candidate for reinstatement.

I feel that I am a candidate for reinstatement for a couple of reasons. The first is that the issues that caused me to struggle are beginning to be behind me. This means that I will not have the same obstacles as before so my academic performance will not be hindered as much. The second is that I have achieved some good grades, so that is evidence that the poor performance was limited to specific classes where maybe I did not have time to grasp the subject matter as much as was needed. My successes are more indicative of my abilities and future performance than my failures.

Government Since gang-related crimes fall within the jurisdiction of state, this research will give an insight on the need to find solutions that increasingly include all levels of government. Congress needs to pass legislation that will change immigration enforcement laws and make more aliens deportable.
