Muslim Invasion for the Development of Western Europe
Muslims are known for their very high regard to their own religion. For the Muslims, Allah is the name of the One and Only God, Compassionate and Merciful. The Gracious, the Creator, the Sustainer, the Healer, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise, the Lord of the Universe, the First, the Last, and others. He is the Creator of all human beings. They put their trust in Him and they seek His help and His guidance (http://religion-cults.com/allah.htm,2006). This is the very reason why Muslims strictly follow the tenets of Islam which include (http://www.history.navy.mil/library/online/islam.htm,2006):
Reciting the creed (known as the 'shahadah"). The creed states that "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the prophet of Allah"
Praying five times every day and at designated times
Giving alms (which Muslims called as 'zakat') to the poor
Fasting ('sawm' in Islam term) during the month of Ramadan, which they do from dawn until sunset
Going on pilgrimage (coined as 'hajj') to Mecca at least once especially if physically and financially capable
With the noted perseverance and dedication of Muslims to spread out their belief throughout the world, it was not a surprise that Islam was able to penetrate major continents in not too long a time. More so, it must be noted that Islamic belief was disseminated by the Muslims by initiating wars against the tribes or areas where people did not accept the message of their Allah. Hence, Islam was able to penetrate other areas and build an empire by using two methods: by force or war against other believers and by the appeal of a new religion (http://www.history.navy.mil/library/online/islam.htm,2006).
