The aim of this Manual is to welcome new hires, orient them about the organization, acquaint them with the policies and procedures as well as provide resources/documentation that they would require throughout their tenure at Whatever. The project development plan is divided as follow:

Determination of activities

The project will include the following phases:

Quotation of costs involved for development of a Manual. Approval from client initiate the first phase of data gathering from the client including company background, policies and procedures, resources for new employees and study the organizational layout.

Phase 2 - Initial construction of Manual content. First draft to be sent for approval to project manager. After internal revision, the Manual is sent to client for approval till final approval.

Phase 3 - Designing of layout, including insertion of pictures...

Send for approval.
Phase 4 - Manual sent to the publisher for mass publication and distribute to the client.

There are three members to this project:

Project manager [John Smith] - responsible for client dealing; devising project layout; delegation and approval of activities; relay effective communication from the client to the team members and to troubleshoot and implement contingency plans should the team face bottlenecks.

Instructional designer [Margaret Jones] - Responsible for gathering and organizing content.

Production Specialist [Steve Scully] - Responsible for final layout and "beautification" of manual.

Duration

It has been estimated that the duration of the above activities are divided as follow:

Phase 1 - Week 1 -2.

Phase 2-Week 3-4

Phase 3-Week 5

Phase 4-Week 6

Problems anticipated

The project manager has placed 2 weeks leeway in anticipation of possible problems.…
