Performance Management The governance of a corporation is the role of the board of directors and the management has the duty of running the firm on a day to day basis. The board, therefore, oversees the management and ensures the interests of the various shareholders are upheld. The executive department is made up of the top level managers and they are required to work as a team so as to deliver on the company goals.

According to Wash (2002), management can only be successful in their work if they have clearly defined work description. CEO or company president is a vital position towards the success of any firm as they must take up the leadership mantle, work closely with the top-management, and ensure clear organizational mission, vision, and operational goals. Though an audit, the firm would establish processes that should be improved on and their priorities. It is also noted that Citizens of Conservation do not have a clear mission, which complicates their performance management. It is important that the management determines whether the organization is engaged in cleaning and conservation or advocating for more pack-connected programs.

With a clear mission, the roles of the board members will also be clear and have them concentrate on oversight and not operations. The cost control strategy would also be applicable to Century Child Care. Through a cost-benefit analysis, the organization would establish their cost drivers and update their operations. Century Child Care is known as a quality-driven organization as it hires professional staff, has excellent services, audits their services, and updates their services to meet their customer needs (Wash, 2002).

So far, the organization has successfully met its obligations credit to their value-based services, support from various firms, trust by the community, and informed board members. Century Child Care has created a positive image and stellar performance. With the financial challenges Holy Rosary High School experiences, a cost reduction strategy is highly recommended (Wash, 2002). The School should identify its activities and audit each activity for cost involved. This undertaking would be meant to restructure their services and direct funds to their day to day activities.

The school’s board is mainly concerned with maintaining the Catholic orientation but, it’s also important to focus on realization of financial stability for smooth operations.
