Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing in response to the Family Nurse Practitioner job posting for Beverly Medical Center on the FNP nursing job board. I am excited by the opportunity to apply for this position since I have a strong commitment to work with diverse patient populations. As a fully accredited and licensed family nurse practitioner with 7 years of experience, I bring a wealth of technical skills, medical knowledge, and interpersonal skills that will help take care of patients and improve their outcomes in all aspects of care. I am committed to serving the needs of patient populations and believe that my medical knowledge, interpersonal skills, and technical abilities would make me a great addition to your team.
I’ve developed my medical knowledge, interpersonal skills, and technical aptitude through various clinical experiences and professional development opportunities. I have worked as a vascular access specialist at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, AZ since 2019. While at the hospital, I addressed a wide range of issues including evaluating patients for the need of mid-to-long-term access device. Additionally, I provide staff education on vascular access devices and techniques, physician education and consultation on appropriate choice of central lines, and patient teaching on PICC line care and maintenance. I also worked as a team leader for the Oncology/Hematology unit at the hospital. As a team leader managing the 34-bed unit, I was responsible for unit outcomes including patient and staff satisfaction as well as quality metrics. Moreover, I work as a Qualified Nurse Educator at AmerisourceBergen since 2014 where I am responsible for coordinating and facilitating patient engagement and connection to program resources. This role has given me the opportunity to enhance my education techniques in project management and resource coordination and to gain experience in healthcare education roles.
The opportunity to utilize my skills and experience at Beverly Medical Center is an exciting prospect that would help me achieve my goal of providing quality care to patients continuously. I would like to thank you for considering me for the position. I look forward to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Lee Ira.
III. RECOMMENDATIONS
Recommendation #1
October 28, 2020
To Whom This May Concern:
I’m writing in reference to Ms. Lee Ira who will be a graduate of Grand Canyon University Family Nurse Practitioner program, class of 2021. I have known Ira since 2018 when I started as her peer RN at Mayo Clinic hematology/oncology inpatient unit and eventually where I was a charge nurse that had oversight of her performance.
Ira is a mature, highly reliable and responsible registered nurse that took on additional task while working at Mayo Clinic. When I was working with Ira, I knew I didn’t I have to worry about her patient load because she always managed her time appropriately and would escalate any issues appropriately to me as the charge nurse, but would use her available resources first. Ira became a member of our highly competitive Vascular Assess Nursing Team, the team is made of five core staff and 2 relief team members at night, which Irina was accepted to one of the relief team member role. The vascular assess team is responsible for placing PICC lines, peripheral IV’s, central dressing changes, alteplase placement, and more. Ira was a relief team member during this time and it excelled her skills with evidence-based knowledge regarding IV access to which she became a resource to our hematology/oncology staff when questions arise regarding IV access. Ira also became a relief charge nurse and took on additional responsibly to delegate assignments, collaborate with another department leaders/house supervisor, and lead the department throughout the shift. Irina left the department to take on a full-time position with the Vascular Access Team. As a currently leader at Mayo Clinic, I strongly support Ira’s candidacy for your organization. I believe she would not only excel in her role, but she would look for additional opportunities to advance herself and skill to be a true asset to your organization.
Recommendation #2
To Whom This May Concern:
It is with great pleasure that I write in recommendation of Ms. Lee Ira for a position at your organization. Ms. Lee will be a graduate of Walden University, Family Nurse Practitioner program for February 2021. I first met Ms. Lee in my primary care office as her clinical instructor during her internal medicine rotation for the program and have had the pleasure of supervising her skills during two clinical rotations. I have observed Ms. Lee in the clinic setting and will focus on my experiences with Ms. Lee related to her excellent knowledge, clinical abilities, and patient care.
Ms. Lee was consistently prepared and diligent when arriving to clinicals by researching relevant topics and asking appropriate questions so that she can provide the best quality care to the patients; she exhibits a curiosity and true motivation to learn. She has a very friendly and warm personality. I have observed her ability to connect with patients by being able to remember and recall information about them when they would arrive to their appointments. Her strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities are above par and an asset in her field. She was able to differentiate diagnosis by asking the appropriate questions and able to come up with appropriate plan of care. She is calm, compassionate, and very positive in her approach to the nursing profession. Ms. Lee was always helping the other staff members and quickly learns any task assigned to her.
I am confident that Ms. Lee would be an asset to your staff and a positive team member. She is pleasant, sincere, and a hard-worker. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely
