With obesity, the effects on the quality of life of obese low-income housewives were explored through a study in Malaysia. The study inculcated 123 women with a group intervention of MyBFF@home study and a questionnaire to record the results after 6 months with a determined baseline. Behavioral change was observed positively for these women with a better quality of life quotient and less obesity.

Older adults and their complications with obesity have been studied in weight management programs with technological interventions. One such study involved a 6-month rural community-based video-conferencing intervention for adults above 65 years with a BMI greater than 30kg. Better physical mobility and functioning were observed with technology-induced intervention in their homes, which was also acceptable.

Most of the data is present for the overweight US population and not specifically for men. They are at more risk for cardiovascular diseases and need self-management, preventive care, and a healthy lifestyle for weight loss. An investigation was carried out with 80 men for a 6-month randomized control trial using mobile technology plus intervention. The study still has to reveal results and analysis; however, it is a valuable source for calculating intake of fruit and vegetables, carbonated drinks consumption and kinds of regular foods intake, conducting physical exercise daily, blood pressure rate and pulse condition along with initial BMI and height measurements for men in pursuing weight loss and reducing this segment’s proportion for obesity.

Health and well-being are only ensured when weight loss is guaranteed. A study was conducted to check for the evidence present online till May 2016 for body effects of obesity such as diabetes, comorbidity, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, depression, etc. It was discovered that most of the US population is suffering from obesity and its aftermath. Even if 5-10% weight loss is managed, it will bring significant results for the individuals. For increasing efficacy, support from nurse interventions could be useful in targeted weight loss.

A study was conducted for weight loss interventions for such adults to reduce the proportion of adults who have cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and mortality risk. A systematic review was conducted for the studies that used randomized control trials and meta-analysis. The results were analyzed with Cochran’s Q and I2 statistics. It was revealed that a diet low in fat, either with or without physical exertion, created a positive effect on obesity reduction in adults with cardiovascular illness.

Again, this corroborating study shows that technology-based interventions for the US obesity problem could be helpful. The study is centered on a literature review and the effects of technology and behavioral interventions like exercise, diet changes, self-monitoring, etc., on weight loss. For that, current health status and existing stress levels are critical for knowing the actual effects of interventions since environmental and genetic factors play a major role.

Obesity is a worldwide concern, and developing countries are trying to determine the best intervention for weight loss management. A study was based in West Cameroon using a community-based cross-sectional approach. 485 obese adults of 18 years or above were contacted. The results showed that obesity was more prevalent in females, married, and those who were educated. Targeting these specified segments of the population was deemed necessary.

Randomized-control trial with NU Level foundation was run on 288 adults for one year. The physical and psychological effects were recorded. The intervention group showed positive results in weight management, increased confidence in healthy eating and physical exercise, and self-monitoring for weight management.
