Systems Concepts: System Concepts Are Term Paper

A network helps in communication between users in better ways than other media. E-mail, the most well-known form of network communication, offers inexpensive, printable communication with the facility of sending, reply, storage, recovery, and addition. Network supports collaboration with its capacity to share. This is the main charm of popular software called groupware that is created in such a way to allow many users to have electronic meetings and work alongside on projects. (Basic Networking Concepts) Internet is a network of computer networks, upon which anybody who has permission to a host computer can circulate their own documents. World Wide Web is one such network, which permits Internet publishers to connect to other documents on the network. The Internet facilitates communication of a range of file types, including non-written multimedia. There are many types of Internet sites created by different people or organizations for different purposes. (the Basics: The Internet)

Information Systems and Decision Making:

Business executives, when taking strategic decisions use many types of management knowledge, requiring and dealing with a broad range of information within a short period of time. These resolutions are taken within strategic business procedures, which change from one case of the procedure to the other. For instance, when a strategic decision is made for involvement into new markets, business executives will be given documents of case models that have the resemblance of facts used in earlier decisions. Each case study will have a set of essential software parts, which are organized to give the information required to support the decisions in that specific intercession. These case models can be modified to the specific needs of the present business intervention process getting direct data from the business executives. Alterations in the case study will be interpreted into changes in the original pattern, thus modifying the information system to support the new business process. Information Systems and Future Trends:

The prospect of executive information systems or EIS is in the efficient movement from mainframe computer systems. This movement removes the necessity to know different computer operating systems and significantly decreases the price of execution. This movement also makes use of the already present software applications and reduces the requirement to know...

Future executive information systems will be on the basis of super personal computers that arrange and incorporate obtainable software application packages into a useful EIS. This trend is not only to offer a system that backs senior executives but also to have the information requirements of middle managers. (Future Trends in EIS)
Phases in SDLC:

SDLC is System Development Life Cycle. The method of developing information systems by means of study, examination, design, implementation and maintenance is SDLC. SDLC is also referred to as information systems development or application development. SDLC is a systems method to solve a problem and has many stages. Each stage has a number of steps: The software concept - recognizes and explains a requirement for the new system; a requirements analysis - studies the information requirements of the end users; the architectural design - forms a drawing for the design with the required provisions for the hardware, software, people and data resources; Coding and debugging - forms and programs the final system; System testing - assesses the system's actual functionality with regard to expected or proposed functionality.
