In each case, the final figure on each of these CFS categories is important to reveal how the company is performing in terms of each specific operation.

Finally, the document referred to the several different methods that can be used to create a cash flow statement, including the advantages and disadvantages in each case. Additionally, one could learn that what method to use in particular situations, given the fact that each is adapted to a necessity. The indirect method, for example is preferred because of its simplicity.

2. It was interesting to discover, first of all, that there are certain elements that do not affect the profit and loss statement or the income statement for a certain period of time. On the other hand, such elements, that otherwise do not appear in the company's statements, are properly highlighted by the cash flow statement.

Additionally, one was keen to discover the steps needed to create a cash flow statement, referring particularly to the actual phases that need to be followed and the necessary elements (expenses, prepaid expenses etc.) that will have to be considered.

The schematic, but full of content presentation of the document gave all the necessary information on the creation of a cash flow statement.
