Any paper needs a good introduction. There are several ways you could start off your paper. One of them would be to provide some statistics about gun crime, and how gun control has not lowered those numbers in the past. You could also make a more generalized thesis statement, but you'll need to be sure to back that up with facts throughout the body of your paper. Don't forget MLA requires page numbers for print sources when you provide the in-text citation.
