Effective inventory management in an era of uncertain supply chains, however, requires a delicate balance between fulfilling customer demand, reducing costs, and building resilience to supply chain disruptions (Saputro et al., 2021). Therefore, supply chain managers must continuously adapt and refine their strategies to navigate this challenging inventory management environment.
Major Problem
In reality, the major problem facing supply chain managers is not simply the need to reduce inventory, but rather to reduce inventory to optimal levels for the reasons cited above. Indiscriminate cuts to stock can undermine customer service and operational continuity just as readily as excess inventory inflates costs.
Possible Solutions
