Business Processes
The administration and the information system at Google rely heavily on the use of business process management. Business process management proves an effective tool in the organization owing to the variation of the knowledge, skills, and expertise of the employees. Significant evidence reveals that process management improves the performance of the company by enhancing its management of operations, customer satisfaction, reduction in costs of operating organizational activities, and ensuring the establishment of new products and services within the organization. As such, it implies that process management focuses on observing the products and services provided by the company and providing products or services with new-dimensional features that meet consumer needs. Similarly, business process ensures the organization and improvement of organizational activities to provide an understanding of their interrelationship (Grosskopf, Decker, & Weske, 2009). Therefore, the following essay focuses on the analysis of the business process of the Google Company. In….

Business Process Management Trends
Business Process Trends

The author of this report is asked to select a section of the current BPTrends report and select a section that is to be analyzed and summarized. After selection of the section and the ensuing analysis, the author of this report is to then compare and contrast the findings of the BP Trends report with five scholarly journal sources. The section that was selected from the 2014 report is the "Corporate BPM Activity Today" section. While summarizing something as vast and wide as business process management practice and trends can be difficult, there is still a wealth of knowledge and access that allows people to truly see the future of the subject and the industries that use it.

Analysis

One of the first tidbits from the Corporate BPM section that catches the eye of the author of this report is the survey results shown in figure twenty….

Home loan in the United States is now done in a very simple manner and some organizations now even have stated on the Internet that most of the paperwork can be done on the Internet.

The importance of paperwork is gradually giving way to communication via the Internet, and any organization which keeps on doing business in the classical way is bound to come to grief later.

First national ank of St. Louis was seen in the Internet, but that bank did not seem to have the archaic system that has been described here. The housing loans in United States are of two types. The first type is the mortgage loan that is used for the original part of buying the house. The second loan is for the repayment of loans concerned with housing or for any other purpose. This is subsidized by the Federal Reserve. In turn….

Using value stream mapping in conjunction with a cross-department workflow approach to distributed order management planning and provide insights into the dollar value of the process improvements (Chan, Chung, Choy, 2006). A methodology more based on the value and extent of impact of process changes on the total business performance of a given business unit or division is more pragmatic and actionable than one that relies purely on swim lanes. While swim lanes are effective in defining change of the order process at the generic level, methodologies incouding value stream mapping can provide even greater depth of insight and financial metrics of performance.

In conclusion, both approaches or methodologies are essential for a company to get….

Happy Haircuts
Porter's Generic Strategies

Porter suggested that there are four generic strategies that a company can follow in order to be successful. These are the cost leadership strategy, the cost focus, differentiation and differentiation focus (MindTools, 2014). Happy Haircuts is a small business, but it offers a wide range of services. Thus, it does not serve a narrow target market, something many businesses of this type might. Instead, it can handle ladies', men's and children's haircuts, along with a full range of salon services and manicures. Thus, there is a fairly broad target market, albeit within a small geographic area. Happy Haircuts is therefore is a broad market, but it must now decide if it wants to compete as a differentiated provider or as a low cost provider. One of the main competitors is a spa nearby, which is differentiated. Aside from good service, there seems little to differentiate Happy, which….

Sigma
A BPM methodology is business process management, which consists of "a documented set of standardized processes" and usually involves process improvement (BPM esource Center, 2012). Six Sigma qualifies as a business process management technique by meeting the critical criteria for such a definition.

The Six Sigma methodology is described as a "disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects in any process" (iSixSigma, 2015). Six sigma gets its name from six standard deviations -- the sign for which is sigma -- between the mean and the nearest specification limit. At six sigmas, you are basically at the cusp of total perfection, so the Six Sigma program sets that as the mindset on which to operate when considering process control.

Six Sigma is highly codified, which is by necessity is one is to achieve perfection. There are two sub-methodologies contained within Six Sigma -- DMAIC and DMADV. DMAIC is define, measure, analyze,….

IT Management Challenges
Business Process eengineering works with changes in structures and processes within the business environment. Information technology plays a highly critical part in BP as it deals with the provision of office automation, gives an allowance for companies to make quick deliveries, work in a flexible manner, and operate in different locations. In addition, new technologies are helping organizations to have paperless transactions. In simple terms, BP allows an efficient and effective change in the form in which work is performed (Davenport & Beers, 2005).

Describe how you see your role in integrating software, hardware, and business management capabilities.

As the head of IT management team, I would bring transformational solutions to magnum by sharing perspectives and commissioning research. Faster deployment and lower costs would shrink IT budgets, and exert pressure to deliver quality using less. Although, the new softwares integrated in the system would come with challenges, each challenge will….

The company, Nantucket Nectars has a variety of options available that will help determine their future. The information in the case study directs focus on the decision to either sell, go public, or remain independent. The managers appear comfortable with any option listed. Still, in order to make the best decision, pros and cons for each must be made. Should the company go public, they must go through the process of having an initial public hearing. This could lead to numerous benefits. One of which is a new source of capital that can be used to invest in the company. Instant capital funding allows Nantucket Nectars to grow and settle some past and future debts. If the company plans to grow, they will need more liquid capital to do so.
An IPO by going public would allow the current management to remain (Acharya & Xu, 2017). Scott for example, would continue with….

This has been seen throughout the e-banking for example, where quality process mapping is often used for streamlining the customer service and support processes to reduce costs and encourage customer involvement (Akamavi, 2005).
The one finding that resonates through the many studies evaluated for this literature review is that using BPR it's possible to redesign distribution channels, bringing greater automation and cost reduction to them while at the same time making the more centered on customers' needs. This transformation of distribution channels towards greater cost reduction and higher levels of customer adoption begins when antiquated systems and processes are removed so customers' needs can be responded to more efficiently (Wehmeyer, ipp, Riemer, 2009). It is possible to cost-reduce channel operations while increasing customer satisfaction using BPR techniques. These series of frameworks and tools provide companies with the ability to stay in step with customer needs.

Failure
No one likes to admit failure -- in business or in life. But by understanding why a project failed, one may better prevent the occurrence from transpiring in the organization's future development and management of other projects. Poor communication, internal politics and overrun cost estimations can affect all projects and contribute to an IT project's failure. Of course, such variables can also affect a project regarding a new product's design and Internet-based projects as well. But IT projects that require hardware, unlike Intranets must contend with a number of other issues such as late project deliverables. They also must address increasingly complex issues as organizational security, ease of access and integration with currently existing technical systems. (Chin, 2003) Overlooking any of these variables can lead to project failure.

hen is a project a failure? A project can be considered a failure if it deviates too far from original specifications, doesn't….
