The Dell Computer company created a unique method of managing its operations that made it famous. It kept inventories low and custom-built products to order for business and home consumers. This resulted in less waste and higher profits, savings which the company passed on to the consumer. Dell became one of the most profitable computer companies in the world. However, staking its fortunes upon PCs alone proved problematic later on.

This paper compares Google and Microsoft in terms of their business models and their finances. The comparison is to determine the better stock to own, and relies on the following ratios: current ratio, ROA, ROE, debt ratio, fixed asset turnover, dividend payout ratio and the price earnings ratio. A recommendation is made.

The current Australian criminal justice system is a legacy of the Anglo-American common law that, with minor exceptions, has been interpreted and administered in a similar fashion in all administrative divisions. This legacy has caused some observers to maintain that, "When all is said and done, the current Australian criminal justice system is about as fair and effective as we can reasonably expect." Reactions to this statement, though, will likely vary depending on what types of experiences, if any, Australians have had with the system itself. To gain additional insights in this area, this paper provides a review of the relevant literature to determine the accuracy of this statement, including a discussion of the respective strengths and/or weaknesses of the Australia legal system. In this paper, we are going to be examining the operating environment of the Centers of Excellence for Hazardous Materials Management (CEHMM). This will be accomplished by focusing on: the individuals / groups in the organization, the way they interact with each other and the organizational behavior of the firm.
