What is Critical Analysis?

Critical analysis is a foundational academic skill required across nearly every discipline, from English and law to business, health sciences, and public policy. In English courses specifically, it serves as a core method for evaluating texts, arguments, and ideas with rigor and precision. Rather than simply summarizing a subject, critical analysis demands that writers examine assumptions, assess evidence, identify strengths and weaknesses, and form an independent judgment. Its academic value lies in its transferability — the ability to interrogate an author's reasoning or a policy's implications is as relevant to a legal case study as it is to a work of literature.

The papers archived under this topic reflect an exceptionally wide range of subjects and approaches, which itself illustrates the versatility of critical analysis as a method. Some essays take a literary angle, examining works such as Hope Leslie in the context of women's literacy in the nineteenth century. Others apply analytical frameworks to professional and organizational contexts, including strategic redevelopment plans, aviation legislation, privatization, and pastoral leadership guides. Medical and ethical dimensions also appear, with case studies addressing topics like routine infant circumcision and clinical education issues. This variety shows that critical analysis functions as a lens adaptable to almost any subject matter.

A strong critical analysis essay begins with a focused, arguable thesis that goes beyond description to make an evaluative claim. Evidence drawn from the primary text, policy document, or case at hand carries the most weight, supported by logical reasoning rather than personal opinion alone. One common pitfall is confusing summary with analysis — every paragraph should advance an argument about the material, not merely restate what it contains.

Occupy Wall Street Moral Implications Economic Implications
Occupy Wall Street is about moral and economic vision; it is not about policy demands. Therefore we cannot ask for certain yes and cannot compromise on the other because all moral, social, economical and behavioral values are interlinked and if one is detached then the whole chain comes in broken pieces. All we need in to publicize our internal and external issues in public which have ruined the roots of the American Nation. This is the time to recollect and think alike with unity regardless of racism or class discrimination. We can now jot down the pieces into a complete story that our leaders kept us busy in such petty issues and did their part steadily and neatly to accumulate power, wealth and resources. The best way is to keep going with maximum positivity and one single goal to eradicate wealth disparity and bring moral and ethical implementations in practice. It is important for each and every individual to remain positive as 1% can infuse negativity to decentralize attention.

Predominantly Latino Gangs, Mara Salvatrucha
This study focuses on the two predominantly Latino Gangs, Mara Salvatrucha (aka MS-13), and the 18th Street Gang operating on the streets of communities across America. This study is significant because it will provide a snapshot in time concerning how these violent gangs operate in this country in ways that can inform and alert both civilian society and government agencies concerning optimal responses to the problem created by these gangs. Through a quantitative and qualitative analysis of documentary evidence and governmental statistics about the Mara Salvatrucha and 18th Street Gang, this study developed several conclusive findings on the negative effects of these groups in the United States. The Mara Salvatrucha and 18th Street Gang are becoming transnational criminal organizations given the fact that they originated in Central America and Mexico and have since expanded their operations abroad. Despite efforts by national and international law enforcement to curtail these gangs' criminal behaviors, they maintain their ties with their gang associates in these countries. Moreover, gang members engage in criminal activities that were highly organized. They also moved through networks that continued to gain sophistication. Drug trafficking, gun running, violence, robbery, extortion are some of the heinous crimes committed by these groups. These gangs disturb peace and order in the community, destroy personal properties and endanger the lives of citizens. These two gangs may establish an organized criminal enterprise capable of coordinating illegal activities across national borders. Nonetheless, with complete disregard to the laws of this land including immigration laws, these groups are considered a threat to the security of the country, but this level is considered comparable to any highly organized street gang that supports its activities with criminal enterprises. In sum, , the dangers posed by Mara Salvatrucha and the 18th Street as well as other comparable criminal organizations should not be underestimated.

U.S. History Abraham Lincoln -
Reading about Abraham Lincoln's racism always has a shock and awe effect on any student of history. The main accusations against President Abraham Lincoln in terms of racism are that he believed in the inherent superiority of white Caucasian race over the black race (to this end Lincoln's 1858 speech at Charleston Illinois quoted by W B Dubois in his essays on Lincoln is instructive), that he was unwilling to condemn the Southern slave owners for slavery and that he took his time before finally issuing the emancipation proclamation. The whole problem starts in the class room when instructors create the erroneous impression that towering historical figures such as Abraham Lincoln are somehow infallible. Then somewhere along the way someone points out a disturbing fact about a great historical figure and we discover that our hero, who we had built up as this colossus of modern history, had feet of clay. It is far better to start off with a clear realization that history is about human beings and their actions, not angels.
