This paper looks at how Egypt, in ancient times, came to be, rise to amazing heights over an 19800 year period, and then collapse in a very short period of time. The paper looks at the culture through the eyes of Mann's IEMP theory and tries to determine using that guide where the greatest successes and failures came from. The decline is discussed shortly at the conclusion.

Honor, Integrity, Duty Honor "The greatest way to live with honor in this world is to be what we pretend to be" (Socrates). If ten persons are asked to define "honor" there will likely be eight or nine different answers, and perhaps even all ten people will have a different response. Honor can be thought of as respect; when a person achieves something very significant or has high moral standards – that can be seen as honor, according to the MacMillan Dictionary. An honor is something that is given to a person who has achieved something significant; and an honor can be something done to represent another person's efforts. For example, Rev. Martin Luther King was honored with a Nobel Prize for Peace because of his nonviolent leadership (MacMillan Dictionary).

This paper compares the way that women were portrayed in Medea, Lysistrata, a funeral elegy for a Roman wife with The City of Ladies, authored by Christine De Pizan. Pizan's female-authored work shows a distinctly different sensibility than male-authored writings, even those which ostensibly attempt to praise their female subjects.

The paper considers the risk of coercion by gangs against young people. Coercion is a method of physical or psychological threat used to gain new gang members. Generally, this is usually done when the gang is under stress to gain new members fast. The best environment to protect children from this is within the family. Schools and law enforcement officials also have roles to play in protecting the youth from coercion.

America was once the leader and pioneer in the auto industry, a title that the country had for decades and a title that was so dear to America's heart that it was unfathomable to think that title might ever be lost. It's commonly misconstrued that America invented the automobile, when in reality that honor goes to German Karl Benz in 1885 (Rozema, 2010). "Americans did, however, industrialize the love of the automobile. America loves big, fast cars, and for many decades American car companies shared the biggest slice of the auto industry pie" (Rozema, 2010). America made having a car and the business of making cars firmly entrenched in American culture. This was a fact which kept the economy stimulated and which provided a consistent level of financial stability for the nation and the civilians within it.
