The system is supposed to exercise social control, enforce laws, administer justice through law enforcement or police force, and to promote justice and fairness. Constitution represents the supreme law that directs political, social, cultural, and economic aspects of the nation. The main objective of the constitution is to protect the interest of the individuals in the society. The first amendment of the U.S constitution states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances" Examples of the amendments of the constitution illustrate that the importance of social value in relation to the interpretation of the supreme law of the land.
