Leadership Trait Theory and Application
Leadership General descriptions of leadership are easily developed; the application of leadership is another matter, as there are so many applications offered by so many "experts." Looking to an internationally recognized authority on leadership training and application, the Center for Creative Leadership appears to take a thoughtful, experienced approach to leadership application in many fields. Moving beyond general descriptions and into the nuts-and-bolts of applied leadership, each industry has its own challenges and solutions. Those unique situations require uniquely developed leadership skills. While these skills are not mutually exclusive, they are necessarily uniquely developed to meet the needs within different industries. Leaders in the government branches have the unique challenges of: the need for methods of relating information to new leaders; the ability to spot and develop potential leaders among its members; building purposeful and effective teams; creating a system of solutions to deal with problems that may arise; learning to adapt for changing workforces; and overcoming the traditional rigidity of information systems within branches of government. The educational system must overcome challenges of: learning by doing; learning through feedback; and learning through change. Healthcare industry leaders have the challenges of keeping their organizations financially afloat while providing high-quality healthcare with professionals whose orientations traditionally clash. In these and other industries, we see how leaders with generally accepted leadership qualities are molded, adapt and collaborate in order to meet their specific business challenges.

Dealing With Difficult Patients Translation of Evidence and Best Practice
Providing adequate care for an individual suffering from dementia presents many difficulties for nurses. Patients with dementia often have debilitating conditions such as Alzheimer's or similar neurologic diseases which are progressive, thereby making it challenging for them to remember, think lucidly, communicate effectively or complete activities of daily living. Furthermore, dementia can cause rapid variations in mood or even modify personality and behavior. With the tremendous number of elderly in society more and more nurses are required to care for patients with progressive dementias. It is imperative that a diagnosis be reached early in the course of the cognitive impairment and that the patient is closely monitored for coexisting morbidities. Nurses have a central role in assessment and management of individuals with progressive dementia. This essay provides some evidence-based practical strategies for managing the behavioral problems and communication difficulties often encountered in this population.

Teaching Impression and Reality
Out of all things I expected myself to do, teaching was probably the least of my expectations. However, things unraveled and led me to get a job at ICCD School. Prior to this job, I had no experience as a teacher at any level. However, I had been raised by two parents in the field of education, both of whom would always come home with their share of amazing stories that I enjoyed hearing. I also got an ample amount of opportunities observing my parents at their work place, during breaks, when they would be busy with enrichment programs and would bring me along so that I would be able to spend quality time with them. Although I can't say I spent a lot of time bonding with them during their working hours, I can doubtlessly say I got to learn a lot from those trips. I believe it is because of them that I was inclined to accept a job offer from ICCD.

Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing: Benefits and Limitations
The essay talks about the advantages and disadvantages of evidence-based practice. Advatnages include the fact that instead of nurses following authority opinion, as was previously the case, the caregiver now based his practice on scientific evidence, using research skills to collect and appraise her evidence. Tradition and hear-say are replaced by empirical findings that provide the basis of clinical decisions. On the otehr hand, More significantly, Straus and McAlister (2000) claim that EBP lacks sufficient evidence to confirm its advantages as a nursing program/ theory. It also reduces the client's choice in matter and form of treatment as well as other variables of treatment, aside from which EBP overlooks the client who has atypical needs and is different form the norm. (Research, generally deals with the norm). Evidence-based practice too suppresses creativity as well as suppressing autonomy since it enjoins nurse to follow scientific literature research rather than her own intuitions or higher judgment.

Biggest Issues Citizens Politicians Confronted 1960s Cold
The interpretation and understanding of history largely depends on the perspective used to process events and experience that create that history. The period of the Cold War and especially the political implications of the silent confrontation between the United States and the USSR is seen and perceived differently by people with different backgrounds. For this assignment I chose to interview three people that have different backgrounds in terms of age, life experience, and cultural background. Ms. X is a high-school graduate from a traditional American family, born and raised in the United States. Mr. Y is a middle-aged engineer that came 25 years ago from Eastern Europe. Mrs. Z is as well middle-aged, Cuban primary school teacher.
