About This Topic

A process essay is fundamentally different from other types of academic writing assignments.  In fact, it is closer to technical writing than to other types of academic writing. That is because a process essay describes a process that leads to a specific outcome.  There are two approaches to the process essay.  The first approach is often referred to as a directional process essay and is the simpler of the two approaches; it describes the steps necessary to complete a task.  The second approach to the process essay does more than outline steps, it also analyzes or explains the steps involved in the process.  The wording of your assignment will be important when you are trying to determine which approach to take while writing your process essay.

The introduction of your process essay needs to accomplish several things.  First, it needs to introduce the process you are going to describe, and give background information about that process, when such information is necessary.  Next, it needs to identify your audience.  Identifying your audience does not require actually saying the targeted audience for your essay, but, if your reader needs a certain educational, technical, or professional background to understand the essay, then the introduction provides a great opportunity for you to provide that material.

The body of the essay involves your actual descriptions of the process.  For simple directional process essays, the body of the essay involves a step-by-step description of each part of the process.  For analytical process essays, in addition to outlining the steps you might explain them to the reader or analyze whether the steps are necessary to the process and make the process more efficient, or should be eliminated or changed in order to maximize efficiency and performance.

Finally, the conclusion of your essay will reiterate what you hope to achieve with the process described in the essay.  If you have analyzed the process and found it lacking, the conclusion may also describe suggestions for further study or review.

Rosie the Riveter \"Over 6
Rosie the Riveter "Over 6 million women who had never worked for wages before took jobs, married women's labor force participation doubled, and unions gained 2.2 million women in a matter of 4 years. Not all of this was achieved without resistance, however. At the outset, most male managers were reluctant to employ women in all aspects of the defense industry, citing…‘the lack of adequate toilet facilities' as an excuse for not hiring women" (Barker-Benfield, et al, 1998) Introduction After the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, the United States declared war on Japan and the country launched a massive war effort – sending millions of men to military training camps and building factories to produce planes, tanks, military vehicles, ships, and weapons. As a result of men leaving their jobs there was a need for women to take the places of the men who had to fight the war. This paper delves into the jobs those women were assigned to, including the women who worked in factories in and around Paterson, New Jersey. This paper also focuses on other issues related to women and the war effort at home during World War II.

Love There Are Two Main
There are two main types of love; sexual love and platonic love. I would call the first lust, and see it as a selfish love that is more focused on the using the person as a means to an end rather than as a means in him or herself. The second category seems to be to be stronger and involves loving the person for what he or she is. This seems to me to be the true love that withstands all sorts of vicissitudes and results in commitment. Love is generally seen as between man and woman but it need not be nor need it necessarily be secular. It can span the feeling between two friends, or between parent and child or between one partner and another. These are different kinds of love, but true love involves a feeling of genuine care and dedication to the other as well as of commitment to the other and enjoyment of the other for the other's own end.

Drug profile overview and clinical applications
Drug addiction is a human issue that breeds physiological and psychological consequences. Drug addiction is marked by physical dependence, and is defined by the uncontrollable, compulsive urge to use a drug despite harmful consequences. Psychological responses to drug use may reflect anxiety, protective, and/or positive pleasure motivations. Physiologically, drug use affects the following areas of the brain: the brain stem, the cerebral cortex, and the limbic system. Of these, the limbic system perpetuates addiction as it reinforces the pleasure response associated with the release of dopamine that is subsequent to drug use. Five categories of drugs are discussed: stimulants, depressants, narcotics, hallucinogens, and cannabis. Prescription drugs are also considered for their addictive potential.

Criminal profiling techniques and applications
This paper seeks to investigate the actual role that criminal profiling plays in the apprehension of serial killers. Does criminal profiling lead to a meaningful reduction in the list of potential suspects and therefore help investigators find the perpetrators of serial murder, or does profiling allow investigators to make educated guesses about the identity of serial perpetrators, which, without the input derived from standard police procedure would be essentially useless? The literature certainly suggests that criminal profiling for serial killers can aid in the apprehension of a suspect and help eliminate people in the subject pool, but criminal profiling, on its own, cannot identify a suspect.
