This paper reviews five pieces of literature relevant to research on bioterrorism. The articles all address issues of concern to the United States with respect to the threat of biological agents, specifically bioterrorism. The selected articles demonstrate a particular emphasis on the federal, state, and local levels of public health preparedness in the face of such an attack or event.

This paper offers a sample code of conduct/ethics for organizations and answers questions related to individual and societal ethics and how they impact organizational ethics. Other topics covered include transaction cost theory, corporate social responsibility, organizational culture, tall versus flat organizational structures, and differentiation or the division of labor in companies.

The choice for a diversity experience was to volunteer with Autistic children and teens. Autism is a condition that sees a great deal more attention in the press in the 21st century, yet the author does not have a direct experience with Autism when it affects so many. The decision was made that instead of reading about or watching a program about Autism that learning about Autism would come experientially.

Patients with normal health problems behave in a different manner as compared to patients with psychiatric problems. It has always fascinated me that psychiatric patients have an ability to look normal as compared to the patients with other health problems despite the fact that they are suffering from what can be in a longer term a fatal mental disease. My interest in psychiatric patients encouraged me to voluntarily work at a local psychiatric hospital to observe these patients and identify their attributes to develop better understanding of how they would react to certain situations. The paper aims to elaborate on my experience of work there and also elaborates on my observation of the psychiatric patients in the observed local hospital.

Gang Violence Introduction For many years gang violence has plagued cities in the United States and around the world, causing disruptions and chaos in communities, and bringing grief and grieving to families in those communities. There seems to be no end to the killings and gang members appear to have access to unlimited numbers of weapons. Lately Chicago Illinois, in particular, has been the scene of numerous deaths due to gang violence. This paper reviews and critiques an article in The Atlantic in which noted University of Chicago Crime Lab scholar Dr. Harold Pollack is interviewed by Ta-Nehisi Coates. The interview took place in Chicago around the time that Hadiya Pendleton was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in a Chicago park on January 29, 2013. Pendleton was a member of a marching band that played at the inauguration of President Obama. At the time of her murder, she was hanging out with her volleyball team and was shot in the back when a shooter just apparently aimed into a crowd of students.

This study is a proof there is an undeniable relationship between terrorism and tourism. This is because of the industry power tourist sites are attractive avenues for terrorists to cause unprecedented magnitudes of economic and social disruption.The intensity and severity of attacks influences tourism activities in different ways.
