This paper discuses atheism and atheists in comparison to religious individuals. It relates to the environment that an atheist lives in and to the discrimination that he or she is often subjected to on account of the fact that he or she refuses to act in accordance with the masses. Being an atheist means being human and being normal, in spite of the fact that most people refuse to acknowledge this.

As President Obama stated in his addresses to Congress in February 2009, the most important problem that the country faced was the economy, which was in the worst recession since the 1930s. This affected both domestic and foreign policy, since the country would probably have to reduce military spending and its commitments overseas as it did during the Great Depression, so for the Obama administration economic recovery was the primary goal. He did promise that "the weight of this crisis will not determine the destiny of this nation" (Obama Address, 2009, p. 1). He promised that the government would deal with unemployment, lack of affordable housing and health care, a failing education system, energy self-sufficiency, revival of the auto industry, an unfair tax system, and weak regulation of the financial system, so that the recession would not be endless. A manager is a person who is responsible to manage the work of his subordinates and ensure an effective running of business operations through planning, leading, organizing, and controlling (Koontz & Weihrich 2010). He may work individually or in teams to accomplish his assigned targets and achieve the organizational goals in a well-organized and efficient way (Saxena 2009). He also leads and motivates the organizational members through different motivational techniques so that they work with commitment and keep themselves directed towards the organization's mission and vision (Silverstein 2007). Being a leader, he is also dedicated with the responsibility of resolving conflicts and issues among his subordinates (Griffin & Moorehead 2012).

This essay provides a review of the relevant literature concerning Royal Dutch Shell, including its organizational and historic background as it relates to the company's operation, the extent of its globalisation, and its reputation for ethics and corporate social responsibility. An analysis concerning the different perspectives of the stakeholders involved in the situation is followed by a discussion about the need to construct an understanding of the oil spill event that may be productive for all stakeholders. Finally, an examination of ways in which Royal Dutch Shell's stakeholders can have a personal impact on the situation is followed by a summary of the research and important findings in the conclusion.

In this paper I compare and contrast the literary works of Alice Walker and Patricia Smith. In particular I look at the poetry of Smith and a Walker short story titled 'A welcome table'. I explore the manifestation of race, racism, and triumphant individualism. I do explore the preceding themes by situating the two works in the larger context of racialized fictional literature.

The Ritz Carlton's hotels are focused on a rather narrow target market that expects world class facilities as well as world class service by the hotels staff. While constructing world class facilities is one matter, maintain a staff that consistently can provide world class service is no easy endeavor. To meet this challenge the Ritz Carlton organization has implemented many of the concepts embodied in the Total Quality Management body of research. They provide their staff both the training and the resources that empower them to maintain quality standards on the spot without having to navigate layers of organizational bureaucracy. This allows the hotel staff the means to provide the hotels clients with not only world class service but they also have systems in place to ensure this level of service is maintained consistently throughout the entire network of hotels. This paper examines some of the quality issues that arise in service management in the luxury hotel industry and how the Ritz Carlton uses Total Quality Management practices to overcome these challenges.

This paper presents a review of the relevant literature to provide a general and personal definition of health and how consumer health behavior relates to these definitions. An examination of the implications of obesity and poor eating habits is followed by a comprehensive plan for behavior change for healthcare consumers to address these problems. Finally, a summary of the research and important findings are presented in the conclusion.
