Assessment and feedback in educational contexts
Simply because a teacher treats all students 'the same' does not mean that all of his or her students are being treated fairly. For example, expecting a child with dyslexia to read an assignment as quickly, without…

General Politics Presidency Election
Hello, I hope you are well. Please find the answers to the four questions attached. I was a little uncertain about whether to write in the present or the past, as the questions were written a few years ago it seems (at least before the 2010 mid-term election). I hope it satisfies. Thanks.

Hope Hygieia Statue: Medium, Myth, and Roman Culture
According to the website of the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, The Hope Hygieia is a marble, life-sized statue of the ancient goddess of health that was originally discovered in the ancient Roman port of Ostia in 1797. It was originally owned by the British collector Sir Thomas Hope before being sold to William Randolph Hearst, who donated it to the city of Los Angeles in 1950. Over the years, the statue has been restored, de-restored to the condition in which it was originally found, the re-restored at the Getty Museum in 2006. This is a white marble statue with the clothing and hairstyle of a young Roman woman from an aristocratic background. The snake wrapped around her upper body is normal in Hygieia statues and symbolizes medicine and healing, while her expression is serene, gentle, graceful and virginal, which is how she was usually portrayed in ancient sculpture.

Leadership Trait Theory and Application
Leadership General descriptions of leadership are easily developed; the application of leadership is another matter, as there are so many applications offered by so many "experts." Looking to an internationally recognized authority on leadership training and application, the Center for Creative Leadership appears to take a thoughtful, experienced approach to leadership application in many fields. Moving beyond general descriptions and into the nuts-and-bolts of applied leadership, each industry has its own challenges and solutions. Those unique situations require uniquely developed leadership skills. While these skills are not mutually exclusive, they are necessarily uniquely developed to meet the needs within different industries. Leaders in the government branches have the unique challenges of: the need for methods of relating information to new leaders; the ability to spot and develop potential leaders among its members; building purposeful and effective teams; creating a system of solutions to deal with problems that may arise; learning to adapt for changing workforces; and overcoming the traditional rigidity of information systems within branches of government. The educational system must overcome challenges of: learning by doing; learning through feedback; and learning through change. Healthcare industry leaders have the challenges of keeping their organizations financially afloat while providing high-quality healthcare with professionals whose orientations traditionally clash. In these and other industries, we see how leaders with generally accepted leadership qualities are molded, adapt and collaborate in order to meet their specific business challenges.

Analysis of "The Gryphon" short story
Misunderstandings are the essence of tragedy. Nowhere is this true than in the short story Gryphon, in which a fourth-grade teacher gets sick and a substitute teacher, Miss Ferenczi, appears before his class the next day. She is poorly qualified and appears to have psychological disturbances the students recognize quickly, although none of them knows what to do about it. At one point, she recounts seeing a gryphon -- "an animal in a cage, a monster, half bird and half lion" -- while traveling in Egypt. She tells the fourth-graders other wild tales, which only some of them believe. "She lies," says one kid on the school bus afterward. Eventually, after her eccentric behavior reaches a strange climax, one of the fourth-graders tells on Miss Ferenczi to the school principal, and she leaves by noon that day. In this story, Baxter's descriptions of children's collective and individual intelligence are utterly convincing; told through the eyes of a student, the story evokes a childhood experience one is not likely to forget through repeated use of striking animal imagery.

The providence debate: Arminian and Calvinist perspectives
Calvinism and Arminianism are two different systems of theology that attempt to explain the relationship between God's sovereignty and man's free will. What differentiates these views is the issue of free will and whether people have any as compared to God's will. Some people claim that God's will supersedes human will in all situations if God's will is different. On the other hand, some people claim God created man with free will and He would not intervene. However, there are those who do not believe man was created with free will and the sovereignty of God causes everything to occur. The Scripture teaches both the sovereignty of God and the free will of man. It appears unconditional in some places and conditional in other. Although, both systems are based on the Word of God, and both contain truth, neither system can be substituted for reading and believing the Word of God.

Quality Improvement and Nursing Care for Ecmo Patients
ECMO is a medical treatment for individuals suffering from acute distress due to the lack of oxygen in the bloodstream. This is a life threatening situation, and ECMO is usually considered as an alternative only after all other treatments have been attempted. The treatment involves taking blood from the body and treating it externally through an oxygenation machine after which the blood is returned to the body. It is a complicated process and one in which the nursing staff must exercise care and diligence.

Developing Coherent Strategy for a Long War With Al Qaeda
The phrase ‘War on Terror' would have been a very uncommon phenomena if it was discussed somewhere near the 1970s. Till then, wars had only been fought amongst nations for the race to become a super power and achieve global supremacy over other states. In present times, the term ‘War on Terror' has brought a new dimension to the concept of war on our planet. This has been due to organizations rising up to achieve their agendas using the means of violence. The Al-Qaeda has been one such organization and it can be said that the current international ‘War on Terror' is being fought mainly because of the Al-Qaeda and its terrorist activities around the globe.

Alfred Adler Was One of the First
Alfred Adler was one of the first supporters of Sigmund Freud's theories of psychoanalysis in Vienna in the eraly-20th Century, although the two psychiatrists had a particularly harsh falling out in 1911 and never reconciled. Adler's basic theories were so distinctive from Freud's that any attempt to combine them would have been impossible, given that he denied the existence of the id, ego and superego. In general, Adler minimized the role of genetics, sexuality and unconscious drives in human personality formation is favor of conscious goal-setting that overcame the childhood sense of dependence, powerlessness and inferiority and created a mature, competent and self-realized adult.
