One theme that could unify the wide variety of readings in this course would be the paradox of Equality versus Hierarchy in American history and society, which is closely related to Inclusion and Exclusion. Black observers, activists and critics of American society like Martin Luther King, Langston Hughes, Cornell West and James Baldwin understood these themes particularly well. From the colonial period to the present, this country has always had a racial caste system, which all of its founders understood perfectly well. John Winthrop may have envisioned a Puritan Commonwealth that would be a model for the world, but this society also had slavery, genocidal wars against Native Americans, as well as harsh treatment for white religious dissenters and the lower classes in general.

This essay considers the recent killing of Kimani Gray by NYPD officers from different criminological perspectives. Specifically, it considers the relative merits of social disorganization and Marxist theory in predicting and preventing the kind of crime that occurred as a result of Gray's killing. Ultimately, while social disorganization theory can help explain Gray's higher risk for criminality, Marxist theory is necessary to account for the public response to the killing.

Gay marriages are mostly there because of business purposes.. Gay marriage is worthy of consideration because people should have equal rights. Homosexuals if allowed to marry each other it will open floodgates to al sorts of demands. All these are deviant behaviors which should stop before the society evolves into a generation of chaos

The results of this analysis suggest that the activities involved in determining the cost of sales are much more significant overall cost drivers for the company than the other areas examined. This is in keeping with expectations for most retail and manufacturing establishments, and Wendy's/Arby's Group can be considered both to some degree (Bradtke, 2007). Facilities costs have a very low effect, and the other miscellaneous costs are an even smaller portion of overall costs for the company. Based on this analysis, it would appear that Wendy's/Arby's Group should focus on the cost of sales as a place to create savings and greater efficiency, though this driver will likely always remain the primary source of costs for the company (Bradtke, 2007).

This paper is about social media and specifically semiotics. It entails the evolution of social media and the interactivity it offers. Society and culture evolved due in part to the innovations granted through technology. Thanks to these innovations consumers experience another level of advertising and meaning within these constructs.
