The attacks on the United States on September 11th 2001 revealed a stunning set of shortcomings both in terms of the nations security and with respect to the reliability of its Intelligence Community.

This question and proposal is to be used to explore the current TSA tactics, proposals, performance and customer feedback as a means to find the right balance between civil rights, personal privacy and customer/airline employee safety and well-being. Even after the events of 9/11, this has not been the easiest thing to accomplish.

On September 11, 2001, nineteen terrorists passed through several security checkpoints at three United States airports and proceeded to hijack four commercial jets. The horror began at 8:45 A.M.

Security concerns are adding to the woes of the airline industry already hit by high oil prices and labor union problems. Terrorists are becoming increasingly adept in evading the conventional screening techniques.

This paper examines whether hedge funds are suitable for the retail investor. It determines that for an average retail investor, hedge funds offer a greater risk than other forms of investment, and this risk makes them a poor investment choice. This can stem from a lack of understanding about the fund, a shortcoming on the fund manager to provide enough information to the public to make an informed decision, and the desire of the fund managers to keep their dealing secret to avoid copycatting and degradation of returns because too much information is known about what they might plan to do. As a result, one must conclude that hedge funds are not suitable for retail investors.
