Affirmative Action is an organization of policies and designed procedures aimed at assisting in the elimination of discrimination against women and other minorities in the human society, together with redressing the possibilities of past discrimination. As required by the Affirmative Action Plan's requirements, Affirmative Action was signed by President Johnson in 1965. It supported and revised by different presidents in the world.

The intention of Affirmative Action is to have less or no discriminations in the various fields of living among the minority groups and women in the society of the U.S. And other nations that subdue to it. Nonetheless, Affirmative Action has attracted both positive and negative effects on the human society. The initial intention of Affirmative Action was to bring sanity in the human society where equality and cohesive continuation exists in the society. According to President John F.

Kennedy, Affirmative Action is as good as a society that respects the ordeals and structures that build up this society (Spielberger, 2004). Originally, Affirmative Action was aimed at transforming schools and work places into centers of equity and fairness in all of its actions. The diversity of the American population was poised to live as one body representing the conformity to its rules and laws. Affirmative Action has affected the human living and interaction in some cases positively.

Although many of the perceptions are targeted at reducing or eradicating Affirmative Action in the society, it still exemplifies positivity and cohesiveness in the human society. The economy of the U.S. has established increased development due to the influence of the Affirmative action. Affirmative Action gives priority to the discriminated and minority groups in the U.S. This has often happened at work places where most of such groups as women have been given representations, most of which are constitutional.

As such, the community of workers in any organization has lived to appreciate the influence of gender equity and togetherness in production. The concept of unity and equality is best served through the influences of Affirmative Action in the U.S. public and private institutions and organizations. For instance, since the introduction of Affirmative Action, most of the minority groups have settled at securing jobs, rights, and executive powers in the government and institutions together with organizations.

Affirmative Action is economically important to most of the American and other nations' growth and development. The issue has positively influenced the economic status of most people and organizations in the world. For instance, Affirmative Action has enabled minority groups and women in the society to access jobs and hence, achieved their economic capabilities. More importantly, the action has led to the establishment of minority group representation that enables them influence their positivity and influence in the constitutional structures of the organizations and the country as a whole.

Affirmative Action has also had a number of disadvantages or negatives in the society. According to most Americans, Affirmative Action has impulsive consequences that are likely to influence the future societies. It is likely to create separation and difference between the minority members and those on the opposite side of the periphery. The focus on someone's race destructs a cosmopolitan establishment of a society. Directly or indirectly, Affirmative Action does not inherently helping the poor in the society.

The poor have continued to live in poor health, poor education, and poor governance due to being sidelined by the Affirmative Action at the prospect of giving them equality with those superior to them (Moultry, 1999). Affirmative Action seems to help only those in the middle class and other hierarchies above them. Moreover, Affirmative Action may distort the previous existence where the minority was getting integrated into the majority class and hence ending traces of intense poverty, access to basic health, and access to equitable education.

The action has acted as a tool of separation between the three or two sets of people in the society. Affirmative Action reiterates on the division between various group of people with respect to their races, financial capabilities, and dominance in the society. However, its positive intentions have all been turned to negative perceptions in the society. Because of this action, most people like the minority Americans feel that they are now racially sidelined.

Even with the positives post by this separation or distinction, the society remains divided with parameters of division unfairly relaying to the status of the minority groups and women in the human society. For instance, one would say that Affirmative.
