Creative thought processes can take over, leaving thoughts that require every detail being explained or imagination included. This thought process goes overboard and causes the final paper to be long, wordy, and not to the point. The grammar and use of action verbs also become inappropriate in the process to the point the essay does not flow.

A direction for solving the problem would be self-discipline in planning. For example, is the essay supposed to answer specific questions? If so, what are they? Once the questions have been identified, research for specifics can be done (And still, how to write an essay). Self-discipline in sticking with the questions of the essay requirements will also help to stay focused on the information that is needed to answer the questions that are required.

Dividing questions into paragraphs when writing helps to ensure the essay answers the questions needed and helps to focus on the desired information and facts. Self-efficacy will help to overcome any ramifications in ensuring that the best one can do is the best performance possible. It also helps in overcoming obstacles of implementation by determining to just do the best of one's ability. The best metric of measure is to compare grades and reasons for points taken off to identify areas to be aware of for future improvement.

Peer review is also a good metric of measure to get feedback from how readers will view the essay. Proofreading with a list of questions would also be a metric of measure. For example, questions could be: Does the essay answer the required questions? Do the action verbs bring the facts forward to the reader? Is the grammar written in a way that makes the essay flow smoothly? Or,.
