Career Job (Assistant Soccer Coach) Perhaps one of the most dynamic career choices is to engage in sports coaching. A soccer assistant coach is definitely one who enjoys a very engaging and interesting job scenario interacting with an entire team of different players and characteristics or personality traits. This makes the required skill set of a coach and an assistant coach to be very diverse. In this paper, the discussion will focus on the different aspects of the soccer assistant coach including aspects like job responsibilities, skills requirements as well as the benefits and drawbacks that come with the job.

Job Responsibilities

The assistant coach is also required to be skilled in some psychological standards so as to help the players overcome emotional or cognitive difficulties as well as, in general, complete any other tasks assigned to them by the coach of the sports board of the organization that they are employed in (Jones, 1999).
Skill Requirements

Keeping in mind the aforementioned spectrum of responsibilities, it is not hard to say that the individual hired for the post will have to be more than just a fan of the game. Some of the required skills set required for the assistant coach will include the following:

First off, the individual must have a relevant educational degree, preferably a Masters Degree in the field of sports management or student-athlete coordination. For this purpose, the individual must not only know the sport of soccer in great depth but also be capable of transferring the love of the game to those around him like the players. The assistant coach will also be required thereof to be a capable teacher and trainer of the sport, preferably through practice and…
